Performance Specifications:<br />
1. Unit shall be UL and CUL Listed and labeled.<br />
2. The unit shall have a wiring chamber that contains both direct wire lugs and single pole cam output<br />
connectors.<br />
3. Both Cam and lug cables shall drape downward when connected.<br />
4. Cam and lug cables shall enter and exit the wiring chamber from access holes in the bottom of the enclosure.<br />
5. A lockable hinged access door shall provide access to the wiring chamber, denying access to the connections<br />
when mated.<br />
6. The access door shall engage the shunt trip mechanism of the main circuit breaker whenever it is not fully<br />
closed, so that connections cannot be made or broken under load.<br />
7. The unit shall provide strain relief for lug cables exiting the bottom of the chamber.<br />
8. Output lug connections shall accommodate a maximum of 250mcm cable.<br />
9. A strip of white light-emitting diode worklight shall light the wiring chamber whenever the access door is not<br />
fully closed.<br />
10. The unit shall contain (1) 100% rated 3 pole main circuit breaker with a 65K AIC rating.<br />
11. Breaker shall be recessed beneath the plane of the front panel of the unit to prevent accidental operation.<br />
12. Breaker shall be equipped with a padlock attachment to lock the handle in the off position when not in use.<br />
13. The 400A breaker shall be resettable to 200 Amps trip on the unit. A separate plug shall be available to reset<br />
the 400A main breaker at 100 Amps.<br />
14. The unit shall be equipped with light emitting diode indicator lights for each supply phase, labeled with NEC<br />
specified color-codes and alphabetic names of phases.<br />
15. The unit shall further be supplied with a light emitting diode indicator light indicating supply to ground<br />
continuity, labeled with an alphabetic description and color coded green.<br />
16. The ground connection shall be isolated from the frame.<br />
17. Contractor connections to the main circuit breaker shall accept up to 500mcm wire.<br />
18. Enclosure shall be fabricated from 14 gauge steel.<br />
19. Enclosure shall have (4) welded mounting tabs.<br />
20. When needed, the unit shall be UL and CUL Listed, as NEMA 3R Weatherproof.<br />
