DSL router enables multiple users to simultaneously share a
single highspeed broadband connection. Included are four
Ethernet ports and an optional USB port to provide the utmost
flexibility for a wired networking application. UltraLine is an
intelligent integrated unit combining a DSL modem and a multiport
router . . . you only need one device!
UltraLine is the perfect solution for
video applications that utilize a
separate video set-top box. Westell’s
superior Ethernet switch and a robust
data engine enable the proper load
balancing and bandwidth allocation
between data and video applications,
thereby eliminating irritating video
drop-outs and pixelization.
VLAN tagging and manageable Quality
of Service (QoS) on a port basis
provides predictable performance for
multiple applications.
Unique to Westell is Turbo TCP. With
Turbo TCP, the user can experience up
to a 400% increase in data throughput
for FTP downloads.
The UltraLine overcomes the obstacles
presented by bridge-taps in the service
provider’s telephone lines as well as in
the subscriber’s “in-home” telephone
wiring. This translates into the ability to
use UltraLine where telephone line
conditions have not been optimized,
