Members were advised that finance staff from both GMFRS <strong>and</strong> Wigan MBC<br />
had attended a Final Accounts Workshop which had been facilitated by Grant<br />
Thornton <strong>and</strong> CIPFA’s Finance Advisory Network on 14 th February 2013 to<br />
assist authorities in preparing their financial statements for 2012/13.<br />
In addition, the Director of Finance <strong>and</strong> Technical <strong>Service</strong>s reported that in<br />
February 2013 one of GMFRS’s main IT suppliers namely ‘2e2 UK Limited’<br />
had gone into administration. The part of ‘2e2 UK Limited’ that managed<br />
GMFRS’s internet, external web <strong>and</strong> financial system had subsequently been<br />
acquired by ‘Daisy Data Centre Solutions’ <strong>and</strong> there had been no disruption to<br />
any services in the change of suppliers. The Director of ICT was in the<br />
process of progressing the necessary contractual arrangements.<br />
Recommended: That the content of the External Audit Progress Report –<br />
February 2013 <strong>and</strong> comments raised, be noted.<br />
30. SUMMARY OF MEMBERS' ATTENDANCE - JUNE 2012 TO<br />
JANUARY 2013<br />
Consideration was given to a report of the Clerk which reviewed Members’<br />
attendance statistics at meetings of the Authority <strong>and</strong> its full Committees from<br />
1 st June 2012 to 31 st January 2013 <strong>and</strong> requested Members to consider<br />
whether any further action was required to be taken in respect of the<br />
attendance of individual Members.<br />
Recommended:<br />
1. That the summary of Members’ attendance at meetings of the Authority<br />
<strong>and</strong> its full Committees from 1 st June 2012 to 31 st January 2013, be<br />
noted.<br />
2. That no action was required to be taken by Group Leaders regarding<br />
attendance issues.<br />
3. That a copy of this report be sent to each of the District’s Democratic<br />
<strong>Service</strong>s Managers for the attention of the Group Leaders, for their<br />
information.<br />
4. Members’ Attendance for the remainder of the 2012/13 Municipal Year<br />
from 1 st February to 31 st May 2013 be reported to the Audit, Scrutiny<br />
<strong>and</strong> St<strong>and</strong>ards Committee on 20 th June 2013.<br />
