Day 1: Varadero / Havana
Arrive at Varadero international airport. Transfer
to the 4 star Hotel Comodoro in Havana. Check in,
then an evening meal will be served in the hotel.
Day 2: Havanna (60 km)
Breakfast, followed by a city tour through Havana’s
colonial Old Town. To begin with we will visit the
famous Hotel Nacional and sample the views of
the water front of the Malecón.
Continuing with the programme: the Capitol Building,
Plaza de Armas, the city museum, Plaza de la Catedral
and Palacio de la Artesania. We will be greeted
in Hemingway’s Bodeguita del Medio with a cocktail.
Lunch will be take place in the early 20th century
Restaurant El Patio.
Then you will have time to immerse yourself in
the alleyways of Havana’s Old Town. After a
short visit to the fort complex; El Morro, we
will continue into modern Havana to the
Plaza de la Revolución, a place that will
invite you to speak with your tour guide
about Cuba’s and Havana’s history
old and new.
Return journey to the hotel and
evening meal. You can then
attend the Tropicana Show
or the mediaeval cannon
display, both optional.
Day 3: Havanna - Viñales (205km)
Breakfast. Travel in the direction of Viñales, to Pinar
del Rio, then a sightseeing tour of the cigar factory
and the famous liquor factory; La Guayabita Del Pinar.
Your journey continues further into the Viñales Valley
with a photo stop at the Hotel Los Jazmines. We will
then visit the prehistoric cave paintings at Cueva de
los Cimarrones and Taita.
Lunch will be served in the cave restaurant Palenque
de los Cimarrones. On the return journey to Havana
we will pass the tobacco plantations and stop overnight
in the countryside, at either the Hotel Soroa or
Hotel Mirador de San Diego de los Baños, where an
evening meal will be served.
Day 4: Soroa - Santa Clara (382km)
Breakfast. Sightseeing of the orchid farm and waterfall,
where you will enjoy this small paradise of Cuban
fauna and flora from its western side. For lunch you
will continue further to Santa Clara.
We will then visit the city of Che Guevara with its
mausoleum and the Che Guevara Museum. You will
have and evening meal and stop overnight at either
Hotel La Granjita or Hotel Los Caneyes, both in
Santa Clara.
Day 5: Santa Clara - Trinidad
(105km)
Breakfast. Trip to Trinidad, where en route we will
visit Sugar Mill Valley and the Slave Watchtower
at Managa Iznaga. On foot we will explore colonial
Trinidad; the Romantic Museum and the Plaza Mayor,
being refreshed along the way at Bar Canchanchara
with its typical drink of the same name. For lunch
we will stay in the city where you will also have some
free time for yourself. In the evening we will visit a
small beach on Cuba’s south coast and check in at
All Inclusive Club Amigo Costa Sur.
Day 6: Trinidad
Today is a free day to enjoy. You can relax at the
beach or undertake with us one of our optional excursions
to the nearby hiking area of Sierra Escambray:
Jeep tour Topes De Collantes (43 CUC), Nature Park
El Cubano (45 CUC) or the Caburni waterfall (29 CUC).
Accommodation will be provided in the All Inclusive
Club Amigo Costa Sur.
Day 7:
Sancti Spiritus - Camaguey (184km)
Breakfast. We will journey to Camaguey for local
sightseeing and to visit Agramonte Park. Lunch will
be served in one of the local restaurants. You will
then check in to either the Gran Hotel or the Colon
Hotel, both in Camaguey. Evening meal is optional.
Day 8:
Camaguey - Bayamo - Santiago
(220km)
Breakfast. Travel to Bayamo. There we will visit the city
in which the country’s national anthem was written.
We will visit Parque Cespedes and then set off in the
direction of Santiago de Cuba. A must for every visitor
of Cuba is the holy site of El Cobre with its Church the
Basilica del Cobre. We will have lunch en route. On
arrival at this most Caribbean of cities we will check
in at either the Hotel los Versalles/ Hotel las Americas
where an evening meal will be served.
Day 9: Santiago
de Cuba (120km)
Bayamo
Breakfast. All day city tour through Santiago de Cuba,
visiting all the important places of history in the city:

Breakfast then a little free time. On the afternoon
we will set off to Holguin where we will embark on
another small city-tour to finish off with. We will then
continue on to Holguin airport or for an extended
beach holiday at Guardalavaca.
Transfers from Guardalavaca to the airport are
available upon request.

Salsa is by now synonymous with vitality and an overwhelming lust for
living. Salsa Cubana is the visible expression of the Cuban attitude towards
life. With that to experience and Cuban refreshments to top it

Hotel Comodoro will provide the accommodation for
days 1-7, and for the days 8-10 you‘ll check in a 4-Stars
All Inclusive Hotel in Varadero. Meals as discribed.
Day 1:
Arrive at José Marti International Airport in Havana.
Transfer to the Hotel Comodoro where you will be
served with an evening meal.
Day 2:
After breakfast you will visit Havana’s Old Town,
where you can sample the delights of the colonial
buildings, the baroque architecture of Havana Cathedral,
the four biggest plazas and the ever popular
Rum Museum. Lunch will be served in one the
famous old town restaurants.
After lunch you will get to witness modern Havana:
the Malecón, Plaza de la Revolución, Central Park
and the Capitol Building, the Avenida del Prado
and the University of Havana, which is situated
on a hill. To close the day an evening
meal will be served in the hotel.
Day 3:
After breakfast we will travel to
Pinar del Rio. There you will visit
the tobacco factory and a tabac
plantage. The highlight of
this daytrip is a sojourn
into the Viñales Valley
with its spectacular
and unique Mogotes.
Lunch will
be served in
Palenque
de los
Cimarrones. You can then visit the Mural de la Prehistoria,
a gigantic rock painting or take a boat trip
through the caves situated nearby, where escaped
slaves used to keep themselves hidden. Return journey
to Havana where an evening meal will be served
in the hotel.
Day 4:
Scheduled for after breakfast are two 60 minutes
salsa lessons. In the afternoon you will visit the
Hemingway Museum followed by a drink stop at Las
Terrazas in Cojimar. As an option we also offer a trip
to the Tropicana Show (60-95 Euro). Evening meal
will be served in the hotel.
Day 5:
Scheduled for after breakfast are another two 60 minutes
salsa lessons. After lunch a workshop will take
place: an expert bartender will show the guests how
to mix the perfect Mojito. Thereafter you will have the
chance for a tasting, all included in the price. Evening
meal will be served in the hotel with the “Fiesta
Cubana” to end the day.
Day 6:
Scheduled for after breakfast are another two 60
minute salsa lessons. After lunch you will experience
Havana just like it was in the 50’s, when you take a
tour in a classic Oldtimer car. You will visit the Quinta
Avenida and the Malecón, continuing further to the
Boulevard Obispo. Take a stroll along the Boulevard
and visit the Artex Shop, where you can buy souvenirs
and other locally produced arts and crafts. Evening
meal will be served in the hotel, followed by a trip to
the “Casa de la Musica”, (cost of entry included in
total package). The all inclusive Hotel Sirenas in Varadero
will then provide accommodation for days 7-10.
Salsa-Party
Day 7:
After breakfast you will travel to Varadero, where
you will arrive at the hotel, then have the rest of
the day free.
Day 8:
Today you can book a catamaran trip to Cayo Blanco.
With that there will also be an opportunity to try your
hand at snorkelling and the once in a lifetime chance
to swim with dolphins. Lunch and drinks included in
total package.
Day 9:
Today you can book a Jeep tour and drive off in the
direction of Matanzas, visit a cave or go for a swim.
Alternatively you can also book a boat tour on the
Canimar River, which will lead you to a local farmstead,
where you can relax and be provided with
an evening meal.
Day 10:
After breakfast you will transfer to
the airport where you will take your
return flight home.
You have the opportunity to extend
your stay in Varadero.

Day 1-4: Havanna
Arrive at Havana International Airport. Transfer to Hotel
Chateau Miramar in Havana. The following morning
you will pick up your hire car. Accommodation provided
for 3 nights, with breakfast. Suggestions for sightseeing:
old and modern Havana, Playas del Este (beaches),
The Hemingway Museum, The National Botanical
Garden, the Cuban National Zoo and Parque Lenin.
Day 4-5: Havanna - Viñales
(205km)
Breakfast. Travel westwards to Pinar del Rio. Here you
will visit the Viñales Valley, archaeological sites, the
tobacco plantations and the cigar factory. One night’s
accommodation will be provided in either Hotel Ermita
or Hotel Rancho San Vincente, including breakfast.
Day 5-6:
Viñales - Cienfuegos (475 km)
Day 6-8:
Cienfuegos - Sancti Spiritus (155 km)
Two night’s accommodation provided, with breakfast,
in the Hostal El Rijo. From here you can visit
Sancti Spiritus and Trinidad, or sample the Escambray
mountain range and Topes de Collantes nature
reserve.
Day 8-9:
Sancti Spiritus - Camaguey (203 km)
One night’s accommodation with breakfast will
be provided in either the Grand Hotel Camaguey
or the Hotel Colon. In Camaguey we recommend
that you take a sightseeing tour, visit the cigar
factory, a workshop, where local arts and crafts
are produced or the cathedral.
On the way to Santiago we also recommend you
visit the holy site and church of El Cobre.
Day 9-11:
Camaguey - Santiago de Cuba
(347 km)
Two night’s accommodation with breakfast will
be provided in either the Hotel Las Americas or the
Hotel Versalles. We recommend you visit the 26th
of July Museum, Parque Cespedes, Morro Castle
or La Gran Piedra (the big rock).
Day 11-12:
Santiago de Cuba - Holguin (155 km)
Breakfast, then travel to Holguin. Accommodation
will be provided in either the „Hotel Mirador de
Mayabe“ or the „Hotel El Bosque“. Here we recommend
you visit the Loma de la Cruz (Hill of the Cross),
Parque Calixto Garcia or Bahia Naranjo (nature park).
Day 12-14:
Holguin - Santa Lucia (179 km)
Day 15:
Santa Clara - Varadero
(327 km)
Breakfast. Then travel to either the airport or another
hotel, both in Varadero. There you can return you hire
car to any Rex or Cubacar hire car service.
Santiago de Cuba
All inclusive accommodation for one night
provided in the Hotel Ranch Luna. On the
way there we recommend you stop by
at Guama, where you can visit Montemar
Park and the crocodile farm.
Breakfast, then travel to Santa Lucia. Two night’s accommodation

The nature paradise Jardines de la Reina (The Queens Gardens) received
its name from Christopher Columbus. It is close to 120 km long, making
it the third longest coral reef in the world.
Come to the beach at Varadero for
3-4 days and enjoy free rounds of golf
at the spectacular Varadero Golf Club.
The gardens were declared a National Park in 1996
and have been under special protection ever since. For
example commercial fishing is prohibited in the area.
The reef is the most undisturbed underwater landscape
in the Caribbean. You can find an enormous diversity
of marine life and water temperature remains
between 26 and 29 degrees, with a visibility of more
than 30 m.
The Dive-Sites
Pipin:
Deep spot (15 to 25 meters) - with wonderful and
very colourful coral canyons. Here you can find the
famous silky sharks, eagle rays, tarpons, clownfish
and a lot more.
Farallon:
A giant coral formation, 12 metres high with
many narrow canyons of more then 10 metres,
which merge into tunnels. Here divers can
meet the same species as in Pipin, as well
as the Caribbean reef shark.
Vicente:
Large coral mountains which lead
to the corner of the “Veric” (wall).
From one of the coral mountains
a tunnel descends 40 metres
into the deep. You can see
jewfish, sharks, black
corals, eagle rays
and devilfish.
Coral Negro I und II:
These two belong to the most exciting diving sites.
Beautiful black coral trees and ramified soft-coral
form this fantastic coral landscape. It’s quite common
that you can see up to 15 different types of shark and
with some luck even some stingrays.
Cueva del Pulpo:
This reef is incredibly lush with soft and hard corals
and it is home to lobster, grouper fish, morays and to
thousands of purple sea fans. A large cave forms the
landscape, through which you safely can dive.
Cabeza de la Cubera:
This site rises from a sandy bed into several
mounds and canyons. Lush corals grow on the
mounds and within the cracks you can find
green and tiger moray.
Designed by Les Furber, this attractive
18-hole course spreads out over a 4 km
strip and is surrounded by natural saltwater
lakes. Now just pack your clubs
and come and see for yourself!

Day 2: Nerja - Granada
Breakfast. Departure by motorcoach to Granada. On
route visit of the Prehistoric Caves of Nerja. Continue
on to the Alpujarras, as beautiful nature area known
as the ‘Little Switzerland’, with typical mountain
villages such as Bubión or Lanjarón.
Here we will stop for Cooking Lessons and a later
Lunch to test your cooking skills. After lunch continue
to Granada for an early evening arrival.
Panoramic city tour with the great Renaissance
Cathedral adjoined by the exquisite late Gothic Royal
Chapel with the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs; the
Alcaicería, the narrow market close to the Corral
del Carbón, the old market; the Albaycin quarter
with old minarets and well-cared for cármenes
(villas with beautiful gardens).

Day 3: Granada
Breakfast. Guided tour of the
Alhambra (13th-15th C.),
a fortified palatine city.

the Palaces of Los Leones and Comares; the Generalife,
a summer residence set in beautiful gardens;
the so-called Royal Room of Santo Domingo, built in
the orchards of Almanxarra and the Palace of Alcazar
Genil used by the Nazarite Queens.
The Palace of Charles V, designed in 1526 by Pedro
Machuca in the heart of the Alhambra as a symbol
of new power, is the most outstanding Renaissance
work in Granada. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Granada - Cordoba - Seville
Breakfast. Departure to Cordoba. Guided tour of
the Aljama Mosque. Abderraman I initiated in the
8th Century the construction of one of the most
emblematic buildings of Islamic Art.
Extended on various occasions it comprises a
lavish in which a cathedral of Gothic, Baroque
and Plateresque elements has been built. It is a
fascinating building which offers surprising light
and colour effects as well as beautiful doors and
nearly a thousand columns. Later continue to
Seville. Overnight stay in your hotel.
Day 5: Seville
Breakfast. Panoramic tour of this charming city, the
well cared for gardens at Maria Luisa Park, walk
through the typical district of Santa Cruz and a visit to
the Cathedral (15th C.), the largest Gothic Church in
christendom, with its magnificent chancel, carvings
by Martinez Montañes and paintings by Murillo,
Zurbaran and Goya.
Of the Almohade Aljama Mosque (12th
C.) there remains, its striking minaret, the
slenderest tower in Muslim architecture The
Giralda, to which an exquisite bell tower was
added in the 16th Century and not far away
another amazing monumental complex to
see, the Alcazar, an Arabic Palace which
was completed by Peter 1st the Cruel
and is outstanding for its Mudejar style
and Moorish gardens. Afternoon at

Day 6:
Seville - Jerez -
Costa del Sol
Breakfast. Departure to Jerez the Capital of
Sherry Wine and Horse-breeding. Besides
these two important activities as the trade
marks of the city, it also has a beautiful heritage
of palaces, museums, flamenco, etc, which will
complete a large offer to make a must the visit
of this important andalusian town.
Will visit one of the most famous wineries,
Bodegas Williams & Humbert, the mother winery
of the famous sherry wine ‘Dry Sack’ and the
brandy ‘Gran Duque de Alba’ ending with a
Wine Tasting.
Afterwards,into one of the cellars of the winery
will attend one of the most beautiful Horse Riding
Exhibition you can see nowadays!!
The „How the Andalusian Horses Dance“ show is an
equestrian ballet accompanied by Spanish music and
18th Century style costume. Free time for lunch and
then we continue to the Costa del Sol.

BEST OF IBERIA
Day 1-2: Madrid
On arrival at the airport you will be met by a tour
guide and taken to the 4 star Ayre Gran Hotel Colón.
Following that you will have some free time to get to
know one of Europe’s most dynamic capital cities.
Early evening you can experience illuminated Madrid
with a drive through the old town, continuing to the
impressive and historic Plaza Mayor and an evening
meal of local tapas. Typical restaurants and taverns
can be found in this part of the city. Return to the hotel
independently.
After breakfast in your hotel, you will be accompanied
on a sightseeing tour of Madrid, where you will be
afforded the view of some of Madrid’s most distinguished
landmarks: Puerta del Sol, the fountains of Neptune
and Cibeles, the grand Alcala Gate, the bustling
Gran Via, Plaza de Espana and Plaza de Oriente, from
where you can marvel at the impressive exterior of the
phenomenal royal palace.
In the afternoon you can book an accompanied round
tour of Toledo, the former capital of the Spanish
Empire, with its cobbled streets and mediaeval
atmosphere. This excursion also comprises of a
tour inside the spectacular gothic cathedral and
visit to the church of Santo Tome, where the
master works of El Greco are on display. This
will be followed by some free time when you
will have the chance to purchase some of
the unique local arts and crafts. Return to
Hotel Ayre Gran Colón.
Day 3: Madrid - Lisbon
After breakfast you will be
collected by your tour guide
and accompanied to Lisbon,
the magical Portuguese
capital. You will arrive
in Lisbon early
evening, where
accommodation
will
be
provided in either the centrally located Mundial Hotel
or the equivalent thereof. Evening meal independent.
Day 4-5: Lisbon
Included in the hotel is a breakfast buffet. There will
then be an all day excursion to the tome of Fatima, the
mediaeval town of Obidos and the fishing village of
Nazare, with lunch being served in the Restaurant San
Miguel. You will then have time to take a stroll through
Obidos, a pretty town dating from the Middle Ages. The
fishing village Navare is renowned for its traditional
costume, and the “seven flannel skirt” can still be
seen today being worn by some of the town’s women.
We will then continue further to Batalha, with its 14th
century monastery, erected to pay homage to God for
the Portuguese victory over the Castilians at the Battle
of Aljubarrota.
The trip will end in Fatima, a site of pilgrimage since
1917 due the apparition there of the Virgin Mary on
several occasions to three local children. Individual
free time will then be available, followed by the return
trip to Lisbon.
Included in the hotel is a breakfast buffet. Before lunch
you will take a city tour through Lisbon, Portugal’s
magnificent capital since the 13th century. There we
will visit places of importance, like Arabic and Mediaeval
Lisbon, Alfama and the cathedral, the city centre
with its Rossio Plaza and main streets, the Avenida
da Liberdade (Freedom Avenue) and Emperor Square
in Lisbon’s Belém district, dedicated to Portuguese
discoveries. Here you will find the most important
monument buildings, like the Hieronymite Monastery
and the 16th century Belém Tower, which has became
the emblem of Lisbon. Take the opportunity to
take some photos at the Padrão dos Descobrimentos
(Monument of Discoveries). You will then return to the
hotel where you will have some free time to investigate
this spellbinding city. Evening meal will be served in “O
Forcado”, along with a fado show.
Day 6: Lisbon - Algarve
Take breakfast, then depart to the Algrave in southern
Portugal. You will arrive around midday and visit the
fishing town of Portimao, which is surrounded by
excellent beaches, like the famous Praia da Rocha.
Portimao is a cosy haven with a beach promenade,
where bars and businesses line up one after the other.
You will then continue to Albufeira and the Hotel Real
Bellavista (or the equivalent of), where an evening
meal will be served.
Day 7-8: Algarve
Breakfast served in hotel, then a free day to enjoy and
relax. Accommodation and an evening meal will be
provided in the Hotel Real Bellavista (or the equivalent
of). Breakfast in the hotel, then an all day excursion
around Silves. This city is the former capital of the
entire region, which was known up until the beginning
of the 19th century as the “Kingdom of the Algarve”.
The area in and around Silves is steeped in history,
enough to fill a whole book. Built on a mountain, Silves
can be traced back to 1000bc. There is evidence to
suggest that Silves was already being spoken of during
Roman times, only becoming of more significance
in the early 11th century, when the Moors settled in
the area. The Moors called Silves “Xelb”, built luxury
palaces and created a centre of culture, setting an
example for the rest of the Iberian peninsula.
You will then continue further to Monchique. Despite
the invasion of tourists there in the 20th century, Monchique
has luckily changed very little. Finely situated in
the wooded heights between the mountains Foia and
Picota, the former standing 902 m above sea level.
The town, with a population of 10,000, has kept its rustic
atmosphere with steep cobbled streets and small
dark entrances, in which you can find different arts and
crafts. Above the town there is also a dilapidated 17th
century Franciscan monastery, from which visitors can
gain a magnificent view of their entire surroundings.
The 16th century church exhibits a fine example of
craftsmanship. An important local product is the popular
“Medronho”, strong liquor made from strawberries.
The mountains Foia and Picota offer a stunning view of
the Atlantic coast, west and south.
Accommodation and evening meal provided in the
Hotel Real Bellavista (or the equivalent of).
Day 9: Algarve - Seville
After breakfast we will say goodbye to the Algarve and
set of east in the direction of Spain, through Huelva,
(the province from which Columbus embarked when
he discovered the Americas), and further to Seville, the
capital of Andalusia.
We will then
check-in in
Madrid

Costa del Sol
Plaza de America, with their buildings from the 1929
Latin America Exhibition, then further to M. Luisa Park
and Torre del Oro by the Guadalquivir River. We will
visit the cathedral, the biggest of its kind in Spain. A
large Mosque once occupied the site and its original
minaret, the tower La Giralda, still stands today.
The tower together with the late Gothic architecture
of the cathedral, compliment each other perfectly
(although it took 400 years to complete).
Take a stroll through the old Jewish district of Santa
Cruz, with its characteristic courtyards, artfully decorated
with plants, flowers, tiles and forged iron balconies.
Accommodation and an evening meal will be provided
in the Hotel Hotel Hesperia Sevilla (or the equivalent of).
Day 10: Sevilla
Take breakfast and then enjoy some free time to explore
the magical city of Seville, home of the flamenco
and the very best of Andalusia. After evening meal in
the hotel we will meet the hotel lobby, and then go to
Tablao El Palacio Andaluz, where we will experience a
real flamenco show. Accommodation and an evening
meal will be provided in the Hotel Real Bellavista (or
the equivalent of).
Day 11:
Sevilla - Gibraltar - Costa del Sol
After breakfast your tour guide will accompany you to
the Costa del Sol, taking a detour to Gibraltar and a
tour of the cliffs. You will arrive early evening in your
hotel at the Costa del Sol.
Day 12-13: Costa del Sol
After breakfast you will have some free time when you
can visit the beach, or take an excursion to Malaga,
Mijas, Nerja or other surroundings.Take breakfast then
depart for Malaga Airport, where you will take your
flight home.

COLONIAL & CLASSICO PLUS
Day 1: Mexico City
You will be welcomed in Mexico City International
Airport and transferred to your designated hotel
and accommodation.
Day 2: Mexico City
Take breakfast then visit the places that best represent
this huge metropolis with a population of over 20
million: The Palacio Nacional (the National Palace) on
the Plaza de la Constitucion, or the murals depicting
Mexico’s history; painted by the renowned fresco painter
Diego Rivera and the Metropolitan Cathedral; the
largest church in Latin America. The Plaza de las Tres
Culturas displays building work from the pre-Spanish,
colonial and modern eras. One place that can not be
missed is the market for arts and crafts. Continuing
further we will visit the elegant boulevard Paseo de la
Reforma with its El Ángel de la Independencia (Angel
of Independence), Chapultec Park with its castle; in
which once lived Emperor Maximilian I and is currently
occupied by the Mexican president, the lake, the National
Assembly and the Anthropological Museum.
Day 3: Mexiko City
Take breakfast, then a city tour will begin at the
Basilica de Guadalupe, one of the most visited
sites by Catholics in the world. Here you will
the find the altar of Juan Diego with its depiction
of holy icon, Our Lady of Guadalupe.
We will then continue further to an arts
and crafts workshop in Teotihuacan,
where you will be shown how the
local artists produce textiles and
jewellery out of materials such
as obsidian and jade. Visit the
Sun and Moon Pyramids, the
Temple of Quetzalcoatl,
the Avenue of the Dead
and Temple of the
Jaguar.
Day 4:
Mexiko City - Morelia - Patzcuaro
Depart for Morelia. There we will take a short break,
thereafter continuing our city tour with the visiting
of the following landmarks: Guadalapita Church, the
cathedral, the Government Palace, the Plaza de Armas
and the aqueduct. Built in 1790 to supply the city with
water, it possesses over 250 arches and stands 10 m
tall. We will then continue to Patzcuaro.
Day 5: Patzcuaro - Guadalajara
After breakfast we will take a sightseeing tour of
Patzcuaro, including the Basilica de Nuestra Senora de
la Salud, the House of Eleven Courtyards, the Gertrudis
Bocanegra Library, Vasco Plaza and the market. We
will then continue to Guadalajara.
Day 6: Guadalajara - Tlaquepaque
After breakfast you will go sightseeing in Guadalajara,
including: some residential areas, the cathedral
and the government building, the Teatro Degollado
(Degollado Theatre, currently the cultural centre of
the city), Plaza Tapati, Templo Expiatorio (Expiatorio’s
Temple) and the Mercado Libertad (Freedom Market).
We will then take an excursion to Tlaquepaque, a small
town famous for its arts and crafts, beautiful ceramics
and glasswork. An evening meal will be included in one
of the typical local restaurants.
Day 7: Guadalajara - Guanajuato
Take breakfast then depart to Guanajuato. There we will
undertake an all day sightseeing tour, partly on foot: El
Pipila Monument; El Pipila being one of the first heroes
of the War of Independence, Iglesia de la Valenciana
(Church of Valencia); a glorious colonial building and
fine example of Mexican baroque architecture, the
university, the Teatro Juarez (Juarez Theatre); an impressive
structure in which various architectural styles
blend together, as well as La Alhondiga de Granditas,
a former stronghold of the colonial era and currently a
museum. Visit the Hidalgo Market, squares and alleys,
like the famous Callejon de Beso. An evening meal will
be served, not included in the price. Return to the hotel.
Day 8:
Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende
Take breakfast then depart for San Miguel de Allende.
We will visit the church; dedicated to the archangel
Michael, with its Neo-Gothic façade, it displays a
wonderful example of 17th century architecture.
We will then continue to the town hall, the Institute
for Arts and Culture and the former home of General
Ignacio Allende, one of the pivotal figures in the
War of Independence. Return to the hotel.
Day 9:
San Miguel de Allende -
Queretaro - Mexiko City
Take breakfast then depart to Queretaro, where you
will go by foot to the Casa de le Corregidora (Corregidora
House) and the houses of the Marques de la Villa
del Aguila and Count of Sierra Gordo. We will also visit
the impressive 1280 m long aqueduct, with its arches
measuring over 23 m; it is a masterwork of 18th century
engineering. Going further we will visit Cerros de
las Campanas, where in 1867 the emperor Maximilian
I was executed. Lunch will be served not included in
the price. You will then have some free time and
return to Mexico City.
Day 10:
Mexiko City - Cuernavaca - Taxco
Take breakfast and travel by modern motorway to
Cuernavaca, the “City of Eternal Spring”, with its
pleasant all year round climate. After a brief visit to
the cathedral we will continue to Taxco, the centre of
Mexico’s silver industry. Located here are Mexico’s
most distinguished silver mines, with artistic works of
silver readily available everywhere. We will stop by at
a silversmith’s, where we learn about silver mining and
other processes involved. We will then take lunch. This
beautiful colonial district is situated on a mountainside
and is a national monument. We will then visit the central
plazas and the Santa Prisca Cathedral. Accommodation
provided in Taxco.
Day 11: Taxco - Acapulco
Take breakfast then at 8.00am we will depart for the
port at Acapulco. Accommodation provided in the hotel.
After lunch you will have free time.
Day 12-13: Acapulco
Take breakfast, then you will have free time to
choose from a variety of excursions.
Guadalaja
Day 14: Tlaquepaque

Take breakfast then
you will have free time until
bus departure. The journey from

Acapulco to Mexico City is first class and
included in the price. On arrival you will be transported

You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred
to your designated hotel.
Day 2: Cancun - Cichen - Merida
You will depart from Cancun, visiting Chichen, with lunch
included. You will then continue to your hotel in Merida.
Day 3: Usmal & Kabah
Visit the archaeological sites, lunch provided there.
Day 4: Merida - Cancun
Transfer on a first class bus to Cancun.
