RESEARCH PAPER COMPETITION
Topics for Research Paper :
1) Novel Drug Delivery Systems
Advances in drug delivery are being made on two main fronts, one dependent on a
better understanding of biological targets and creating opportunities for increased
affinities between delivery vector and their targets. The other depends on
developing new materials with well-controlled properties, allowing drug delivery
to be programmed or responsive to inputs from external or internal sources.
Students are encouraged to write research papers on any of the following sub
topics i.e. Biocompatibility; Biomaterials; Biomedical engineering; Cardiovascular
surgery; Cells;
Diseases; Drug therapy; Immunology; Iron oxides; Superparamagnetism; Toxicity;
Contrast agents; Hyperthermia; Immunomagnetic cell sorting (IMS); Magnetic
drug targeting (MDT); Magnetic hyperthermia; Nanoparticle applications;
Nanoparticle functionalization; Nanoparticles; Superparamagnetic iron oxide
nanoparticles (SPION); Nanostructured materials
2) Nutraceuticals
A combination of the words “Nutrition” and “Pharmaceuticals” nutraceuticals is a
food or food product that provides health and medical benefits which include
prevention and treatment of diseases.
Students are encouraged to write research papers on any of the following sub
topics i.e. Dietary supplements, Isolated nutrients, Genetically engineered foods,
herbal products, etc.
Rules for writing Research paper:
The paper can be presented by a team of 1 or 2 presenters.
Pharma management / B. Pharm./ D. Pharm / B. Tech. Pharma. / M. Pharm.
/ B. Sc . / M. Sc. students with valid ID cards of their respective educational
institutes are allowed to participate.
The title of the research paper has to be given by the student who writes the
research paper. The title should be in line with the related paper.

Research Paper can be authored by a team of maximum 2 students.
Research paper should start with Abstract, Keywords, Main Paper,
References and student details in the end.
The total length of the research paper should not exceed 4000 words.
The last date of receiving research papers is 6 th October 2012 with a Demand
Draft of Rs.500/- in favour of IES MCRC – Autonomous payable at
Mumbai.
The decision of the judges and event head shall be treated as final and
binding on all.
The results for the Research paper competition would be announced on 20 th
October 2012 and the top 5 paper presenters would get a chance to
present their papers during INSIGHT 2012-13.
