Anderson was a DFL State Senator from District 19, serving on the 

Education, Finance, and Judiciary Committees. The majority of the 

collection deals with education, with some correspondence and newspaper

7. Association of Central Minnesota Teachers of History. Records, (1971-80), 5 

in. 

The Association of Central Minnesota Teachers of History was established in 

1971, with the help of SCSU faculty, to establish a stronger bond between 

teachers of history in Central Minnesota and to strengthen the position of 

history in the programs of Central Minnesota schools. The organization was 

dissolved in 1980 with the formation of the Minnesota Association of History 

Teachers. The collection contains the Association’s constitution, meeting 

minutes, newsletter, newspaper clippings, correspondence, announcements, 

and newsletters from the Committee on History in the Classroom (1972-76).

Boehm was a doctor in St. Cloud beginning in 1894. His papers include

13. Brown, Andrew A. (1873-1938). Papers, (1866-1938), 1 in. 

Brown lived in Douglas County, where he dealt with real estate. Of particular 

interest in the collection is the correspondence from then-congressman John 

Lind. There are numerous land grants and certificates, along with a copy of 

the Alexandria Post, 25 October 1878. {S1803}

15. Buscher, Dr. Julius, M.D. (1891-1963). Papers, (1919-63), 2.1 ft. 

Buscher was born in Germany in 1891 and served as a medical officer in the 

German Army in World War I. He came to St. Cloud in 1929 where he 

practiced medicine at the St. Cloud Hospital and the Veterans Hospital. The 

collection is mostly about medicine, with some correspondence, and items

This large ledger holds entries and transactions for residents of the St. Cloud 

area. Some prominent St. Cloud business names, such as Cooper, Mitchell

18. Charles, Russ and Ruth, Medicine Show. Papers, (1981-94), 2.5 in. 

Russ and Ruth Charles are St. Cloud natives who traveled with a medicine 

show early in their career and have produced their own traveling magic show 

since the 1940s. The collection consists of video tapes of their performance, 

an oral history interview, newspaper and magazine clippings, and 

miscellaneous photos, posters and brochures about Russ and Ruth and their

32. Graves, Carlton. One volume. 

Carlton Graves has been a veterinarian for the Rice, Minnesota community 

for many years. Part of his receipt book contains a list of his receipts for 

1972. Another part of the receipt book contains the treasurer records for the 

local St. Cloud Chapter of the Grand Army of the Republic's encampment

Donated by Jerome L. Burnett, former IAM Grand Lodge Representative, 

this collection includes the organizing activities of the IAM in mostly 

Minnesota and Wisconsin companies. Also included are various union 

publications, convention proceedings, lodge rosters, and a personal file on

39. International Eucharist Congress. (1926), two volumes. 

One of the volumes in this collection is a book prepared as a souvenir for the 

XXVIII International Eucharist Congress held in Chicago in 1926, the first 

International Eucharist Congress to be held in the United States. It gives a 

history of previous Congresses and Catholic Chicago. The other book, which 

was sponsored by the Burlington Rail of Chicago, describes the program of 

the Congress and explains various means of transportation and 

accommodations for the 1926 Congress. {S2004}

This large account book contains minutes, annual reports, and articles of

41. Knife Lake Township (Kanabec County, MN). Records, (1907-48), 2.5 in. 

Election records, road and ditch records, treasurer’s reports, and wolf and 

fox bounties are included in this collection. Various legal documents are also

42. Kosloske, John T. (1907- ). Papers, (1949-71), 10 in. 

Kosloske was the mayor of Sauk Rapids, a state legislator, and also served 

as a Justice of the Peace. This collection is comprised largely of legislative 

correspondence on a variety of subjects. {S55} 

43. Lorsung, Peter, Monsignor. Papers, (1935-56), 2.5 in. 

Monsignor Lorsung served as parish priest in several churches in Central 

Minnesota. The collection includes ordination materials, church reports, and

44. Marshall, Frederick (1906-1985). Papers, (1948-66), 20.8 ft. and four volumes. 

Marshall was the U.S. Representative from District 6 from 1948 to 1960. 

His papers include legislative materials, newspaper clippings, constituent 

correspondence, and voting records. Also included is material from 

Marshall's tenure on the National Commission on Food Marketing. {S30}

John Massmann is a retired Professor of History from SCSU. His papers

James M. McKelvy served in the Seventh Minnesota Infantry Regiment 

during the Civil War. His son, James E., served in the Thirteenth Minnesota 

Infantry Regiment during the Spanish-American War. The collection includes

This guest register contains the names and hometowns of patrons of the

Miller was a state representative from District 12A. He died shortly after his 

re-election in 1974. His papers include constituent correspondence,

This collection consists of twenty-one issues of this publication series which 

was generated from a research program at the University of Minnesota 

which began in January 1966. The publications were prepared by the 

Department of Agricultural Economics, the Agricultural Extension Service, 

and the Agricultural Experiment Station. The issues were published on an 

irregular basis as the data was collected. This collection contains issues 

between October 1966 and April 1973 (issues 1-22, missing 17 and 20).

Morgan was a surveyor and produced numerous survey maps of Central 

Minnesota. These maps, which include general surveys, and drainage ditch 

maps, make up the majority of the collection. Also of interest are materials

Richard Nolan represented the Little Falls area in the Minnesota House of 

Representatives from 1969 to 1973. He was elected to the U.S. House from 

the Sixth District in 1974, and served until 1981. This collection includes

The Northwest Magazine was an illustrated monthly publication "devoted to 

western interest and progress." It was published in St. Paul, Minnesota, by 

E.V. Smalley. The main focus was to encourage settlement of the remaining

Al Patton was a state representative from District 17A from 1973 to 1981. 

His papers include constituent correspondence, information on the thenproposed

Hjalmar Petersen was a former lieutenant-governor, governor, and Railroad

The St. Monica Christian Mothers were organized at St. Francis Xavier

Bound volumes make up the bulk of this collection. Volumes contain clerk's

John Sullivan, and his son, Henry H., served as state representatives from 

District 45. Their years of service spanned three decades. The collection 

includes newspaper clippings, campaign materials, and a typed biography.

This collection contains numerous items relating to the Brotherhood of 

Railroad Trainmen, the United Transportation Union, and their relationships

92. Thirteenth Minnesota Infantry Regimental Association. (1929-32), 5 in. 

Contains the programs for the 25th, 27th, 28th, 32nd, and 34th annual 

reunions of this famed regiment. Some years contain multiple copies. {S59} 

93. Times-KFAM Weekly Letter To Servicemen. 86 issues, (20 December 1943 - 10 

September 1945). 

This newsletter was published by the St. Cloud Daily Times during World 

War II, and sent to all Central Minnesota persons in service. Issues included

Aloys John Tschumperlin was a long-time resident of St. Cloud. He was the 

proprietor of the largest furniture store, and the most important undertaking 

establishment in St. Cloud during the early 1900's. These papers include 

extensive records from both businesses, and a large section of 

Tschumperlin's mining interests near Ely, Nevada. Of note is a file on the 

Pan Motor Company and Tschumperlin's business affairs with it. {S57}

This collection consists of two scrapbooks dealing with the home front effort 

during World War II. The first volume was compiled by the Victory Garden 

division of the Citizens' Service Corps (1943). The second volume contains 

material distributed on victory aide calls by volunteers. {S1846} 

103. Weber, Vin. 1 in. 

Vin Weber, a native of Slayton, Minnesota, was elected the 6th 

Congressional District Representative in 1980. Weber was 23 years old at 

the time, making him the second youngest Minnesotan elected to Congress. 

The collection consists of a Congressman Vin Weber: Working for You 

newspaper, various Weber newsletters from the early 1980s, and newspaper 

clippings concerning Weber's election to Congress. An interview with Weber

104. Wegner, Herman A. (1877-1947) and Family. Papers, (1883-1953), 7.5 in. 

Herman Wegner worked on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Montana as 

a teacher, and on the Blackfeet Reservation as an engineer. He also did 

carpentry work and was employed at the St. Cloud Veterans Administration 

Hospital. His wife Christine was the sister of John Clawson and worked at 

the Department of the Interior Office in Minneapolis for many years. The 

collection contains various ledgers, school handbooks, account books, 

newspaper clippings, numerous deeds and mortgage papers, and
