SteriaFITPlus succeeds SteriaFIT as the leading solution for fast 

and accurate fingerprint capture, review and transmission. 

It builds on all of the advantages of the old system to make 

a faster, safer and easier solution for electronic processing of 

tenprints, quick checks, latents, palm prints and mugshots 

from remote stations to central national or international sites. 

Used in 27 countries by national police forces and immigration 

authorities, SteriaFIT and now SteriaFITPlus, are fully compatible 

with all AFIS systems. SteriaFITPlus fully meets the ANSI/NIST 

standards and delivers the following benefits: 

• High-quality capture and processing of tenprints, quick checks, 

latents, palm prints and mugshots – all with unlimited image 

resolution – increases AFIS-search accuracy

Hands on with SteriaFITPlus 

Simple and user-friendly, SteriaFITPlus and SteriaFITPlus Enterprise are a joy to use. 

Here’s how they work: 

Main menu: A user-friendly method of selecting task 

or workflow 

Personal data entry screen: Easily enter all personal 

and case data relevant to the selected workflow 

Fingerprint capture: Enrollment of each finger with 

automatic sequencing and quality control 

Tenprint view: All fingers are captured and displayed 

with a corresponding quality assessment 

Mugshot capture: Accurately capture front and profile 

images, scars, marks and tattoos 

Travel document scanning: The travel document is 

captured with ultraviolet, infrared and normal white 

light sources. In addition, the machine-readable zone 

is captured and the RFID loaded and displayed


Bring it online 

SteriaFITPlus Enterprise is the intranet version of 

SteriaFITPlus with all the benefits of the new system, 

plus one new one – it gives users the option to 

use either Steria software or html-based ActiveX 

components to communicate online. It also eases 

implementation and future updating demands 

by limiting software installation to one central 

web server. Any computer linked to the network 

can access and run the application. This removes 

concerns about outdated software on remote 

terminals or slow installation. Time is saved all 

round and administration eased.

Fieldwork 

SteriaFastID is ideal for use in all field applications, 

from the streets of the city to the furthest borders 

– anywhere there’s a mobile phone connection 

in fact. All you do is connect through a police 

network or mobile phone and two, four or eight 

single-finger prints can be registered or crosschecked 

against the central database. This often 

gives the field officer a vital advantage by checking 

more people faster and eliminating unnecessary 

retention of suspects.
