<strong>Bonnet</strong> <strong>Guild</strong> 3K & 5K <strong>Run</strong><br />

Event Information<br />
Date & Time: Wednesday 13 th June. Please report to the grass area at the David Dale<br />
entrance end of Lainshaw Woods from 6pm – the run will start at 6.45pm.<br />
Start / Finish: The run will start and finish at the David Dale end of Lainshaw Woods.<br />
<strong>Run</strong> Categories: There will be two integrated courses – 5K for those aged 16 and over and a<br />
shorter 3K course for under 16s. Approximate course routes/distances can be viewed at http:/<br />

There will be awards for the 1 st , 2 nd & 3 rd male / female in each category.<br />
Course: The course is mainly within the “Woodland Walk” in Lainshaw Woods, but also along<br />
the Water Works access road i.e. stone paths and tarmac. Part of the route on both runs,<br />
requires participants to cross the end of David Dale Avenue and also descend the steps which<br />
join the upper and lower parts of the path – runners are advised to take extra care in these<br />
areas and must keep to the right hand side of roads and paths at all times.<br />
Facilities: Unfortunately there is no access to changing or toilet facilities, so we recommend<br />
participants arrive ready to take part. <strong>Bonnet</strong> <strong>Guild</strong> members will marshal the course and First<br />
Aid will be available. Water will be provided at the finish.<br />
Under 16s: Should be accompanied by a responsible adult and have their entry/consent from<br />
signed by a parent/legal guardian<br />
Entry/Consent Form: Are available to download at www.stewarton.com or can be collected<br />
from the <strong>Bonnet</strong> <strong>Guild</strong> information points in the town. The entry fee is £2 for adults and £1 for<br />
under 16s. Please return completed forms to Michael Waddington at Corsehill Dental Care, 17<br />
Gilmour Street, Stewarton, by Tuesday 12 th June if possible. For further information contact<br />

On The Night: All participants must report to the registration desk from 6pm to collect their<br />
allocated race number and will be stewarded to the start.<br />
Please note that there will be a limit to the number of participants in each category, so<br />
leaving registration late may result in disappointment.

Conditions of Entry<br />
I am aware that:<br />
The fun run involves crossing a road and running on an access road. These roads have NOT<br />
been blocked off for the event and regular traffic may still be traveling on them.<br />
Stewards are NOT able to stop traffic and that I am responsible for my own safety whilst<br />
running on and crossing roads during the event.<br />
Participants must keep to the right hand side of the access road and paths at all times, and<br />
adhere to the crossing points manned by <strong>Bonnet</strong> <strong>Guild</strong> members.<br />
There may be maintenance being carried out or unstable underfoot conditions on the<br />
planned route and that I am responsible for using my own judgment to ensure safe passing<br />
of such obstacles. Under 12s should be accompanied by an adult at all times during the<br />
event.<br />
Disclaimer<br />
I acknowledge that the information I have given on this form is correct and that the <strong>Fun</strong><br />
<strong>Run</strong> I am about to participate in, is at my own risk. I understand that any injury or loss<br />
suffered during the event is my own responsibility and no other persons will be liable. I<br />
