Crystal screening in plates<br />

– to provide facilities and<br />
convenient methods of<br />
screening drops within many<br />
plates on I24 beamline in<br />
order to provide feedback on<br />
• salt/protein/detergent crystals<br />
• diffraction limit<br />
• cell dimensions<br />
• useful data (if at all possible)<br />
• Equipment to be installed<br />
– end-effector for<br />
gripping/manipulating plates<br />
– small plate hotel for temporary<br />
storage on beamline<br />
• Based on development efforts<br />
made at ESRF FIP beamline<br />
by J-L Ferrer and group.
