Who May Enter
Participants may submit one poster
in one of the following categories:
• Grades K-2
• Grades 3-5
• Grades 6-8
• Grades 9-12
• Workplace
• Seniors
Poster Contest Rules
• Completed poster size must be on a vertical or horizontal 8 ½” by 11” white sheet of paper.
• The word ‘upstander’ must be included on the poster.
• Poster should depict visual of what an upstander is or someone being an upstander.
• Be creative. Any media is acceptable (crayons, paint, color pencil, photograph, graphic art).
• Release & Permission Form MUST be returned with artwork to enter the Upstander Poster Contest.
Winning Posters
• Poster contest winners will be featured in the 2013/2014 City-School Calendar.
• Winning posters and other select posters will be displayed at the Children First Ice Cream Social.
• We reserve the right to not use poster art from all age groups.
ALL POSTERS ARE DUE JANUARY 15 th , 2013 BY 4:00 P.M.

By signing this release form, I acknowledge that I/my child voluntarily participated in the 2013 St. Louis Park Joint
City-School Anti-Bullying Task Force “Upstander” Poster Contest.
I willingly submit my/my child’s poster for use by the City of St. Louis Park and St. Louis Park Public Schools. I
give my consent to use my name/my child’s name and photo with the poster contest and other pieces that may be
made as a result of it such as, but not limited to, the 2013/2014 City-School Calendar, printed pieces, video and the
City and School District websites.
I understand that select posters will be displayed at the Children First Ice Cream Social on Sunday, May 19, 2013,
and at public locations in the community thereafter. I hold the City and School District harmless for any claims or
damages based on the use of the poster.
