SR 3.14<br />

Costume Requirements (Show)<br />

3.14.01 In all show competitive roller skating events (including official training), the costumes for both<br />

men and women should be in character with the music, but should not be so as to cause<br />

embarrassment to the skaters, judges or spectators.<br />

3.14.02 Women’s costumes must be constructed so that it completely covers the tights (pants), hips and<br />

posterior. French-cut leotards are strictly prohibited, i.e. leotards which are cut higher than the hip<br />

bone.<br />

3.14.03 There are no restrictions on costumes. Changes of costumes during the programme are allowed, but<br />

with the same rules as for accessories: nothing to be left on the floor or thrown outside the rink. If<br />

parts of the costume should accidentally touch the floor, no penalty will be applied so long as the<br />

flow of the programme is not interrupted.<br />

Sponsorship – Advertising<br />

3.15.01 In all artistic disciplines no formal publicity propaganda comercial or otherwise, may appear on<br />

any parts of the costume or, more generally, on any article of clothing or equipment whatsoever<br />

worn or used by the athlets in all World Championships and events sanctioned by CIPA except<br />

for the manufacturer of the article and these logos must be no larger than 10 cm x 3 cm. All other<br />

regulations concerning Advertising will follow the IOC regulations.<br />

SR 3.16<br />

Equipment<br />

3.16.01 In all CIPA Junior and Senior events only quad skates are permitted.<br />

3.16.02 In all CIPA Inline events only Inline skates are permitted.<br />

3.16.03 In all show and Precision Team events each team member must have the same type of skates.<br />

They have the choice of either quad or Inline skates for each member or each team.<br />

3.16.04 The are NO restrictions on skate frames, wheels, or boots.<br />
