2 megapixel (1600 x 1200) LCD monitor with accurate color and grayscale
gradations for MRI, PET, CR, and 3D rendering
ADVANCED COLOR LCD PANEL
The R22 employs a Super-IPS panel with a
0.270 mm pixel pitch, 250 cd/m 2 brightness,
and 400:1 contrast ratio. Viewing angles are
170˚ and changes in contrast and color are
minimal when viewing from off-center.

TONECURVE TUNING UTILITY
This EIZO-developed software utilizes the
R22's dual 10-bit Look-Up Tables for adjustment
of tones to the desired values. Even tones
in high and low brightness areas of an image,
typically problematic for LCD monitors to display,
can be adjusted easily and accurately.
Once values have been set, they can be saved
to a control PC and shared with other Radi-
Force color 1MP and 2MP monitors.
DICOM MODES
The Fine Contrast function features six different
modes including two DICOM modes: DI-
COM-CL for clear base film and DICOM-BL
for blue base film. Each mode has different settings
for image parameters such as brightness,
color temperature, and gamma.

COLOR CALIBRATION KIT
EIZO is developing a calibration kit scheduled
for release in the spring of 2004. With
this kit, radiologists will be able to calibrate
to the DICOM Part 14 standard, set
extremely precise gamma, brightness, and
color temperature values, and correct for
brightness fluctuations that typically occur
over long term use. Please contact the

BRIGHTNESS STABILIZATION
Drift Correction Sensor
Quickly stabilizes the brightness level after
startup or coming out of power save mode.
Auto Brightness Control
The monitor detects and automatically compensates
for brightness changes caused by surrounding
temperatures and the passage of time
for stable brightness and longer service life.
•This brightness stabilization function is EIZO patented technology.

FACTORY ADJUSTMENT OF GAMMA
Each R22 unit is factory adjusted to produce
an accurate gamma curve. This ensures uniform
color and grayscale rendering between
units for consistent image display in a multipanel
environment.
SLIM BEZEL DESIGN
Narrow bezels along all four sides save space
and require less eye movement in a multi-panel
environment. Other features include an 82 mm
height adjustable stand, 40˚ tilt, 70˚ swivel, and
90˚ portrait orientation.
