FinNode Future Session:<br />
Aid 2.0 – Development aid and private sector participation<br />
6.2.2013 at 16:00 – 18:00 (Finnish time)<br />

The goal of this Future Session is to describe some key financiers processes and ways of<br />
working with private sector including procurements. Focus is on change and trends in<br />
development aid on policy level as well as practical level.<br />
Experts from World Bank, International Finance Corporation and Millenium Challenge<br />
Corporation will describe their present and future focus areas and inform on their views on<br />
co-operating with private sector.<br />
This future session is targeted for policy makers and stakeholders in Finland as well as<br />
companies interested in project opportunities arising from international development aid<br />
projects. Some key sectors for aid projects in future are Cleantech, water and sanitation, IT,<br />
healthcare and wellbeing as well as manufacturing in emerging markets, but the session<br />
will not focus on individual technologies or industries.<br />
Locations and Registration:<br />
FinNode Future Session will take place simultaneously at several ELY centers around<br />
Finland (in Helsinki at Finpro premises). All locations are linked to each other using<br />
videoconference facilities. The event is free of charge and the presentations will be in<br />
English.<br />

FinNode Future sessions provide foresight information in form of concrete examples from<br />
around the world to the Finnish companies and organizations. The concept has emphasis on<br />
