The Book of the Names of the Dead will be placed in the front of
Church, on the right side, by the altar through the month of
November. Please pray for the repose of the souls of those who
have gone before us and for comfort for those who mourn.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR INFORMATION

Children of the parish, grades 3-8, are invited to sing at St. Peter
Parish Christmas Eve 4:00PM Mass.
Required Rehearsals: (At least) Any TWO of these Three
Monday, December 12 4:00-5:00PM
Saturday, December 17 3:00-4:00PM
Monday, December 19 4:00-5:00PM
Rehearsals will take place in church (in the music room
downstairs) Enter though the Stained glass door.
Arrival on December 24th:
Please arrive at church by 3:15PM.

ATTENTION ALL VETERANS
PLEASE NOTE MASS TIME CHANGE TO 8:30AM
On Friday, November 11, 2011, St. Peter School and the Student
Council will sponsor our third annual Veterans Day
Commemoration and reception. We would like to honor any
veteran who would like to join us for that day. (Please keep in
mind that “veteran” means anyone who has served. One does not
need to have served in a war to be a veteran).
If you are a veteran, or if you know of someone who is a veteran
and could join our celebration, please forward that person‟s name
and address so that we can extend a personal invitation.
We will begin with 8:30AM Mass (changed from 8:15AM) on
November 11th. After Mass, there will be a short reception for
the veterans in the cafeteria, followed by an assembly in the gym.
Any veteran is welcome along with a guest. Please contact
Nancy Muller at St. Peter Catholic School (314-821-0460) by
October 30th so a formal invitation can be sent.
Mass time will be moved from 8:15AM to 8:30AM
on November 11th only!

KIRK CARE CHRISTMAS COLLECTION
This year we will again have a food collection at the 9:00AM Mass on Thanksgiving Day. The food will go toward the Christmas
food box distribution for those in need in our area. We are asking for donations of non-perishable food and paper products.
Any checks should be placed in an envelope marked for Kirk Care.
The food will be picked up on Thursday, December 8th. Food donations brought after Thanksgiving should be placed in the rear West
entrance of Church any time the Church is open. NO CLOTHES PLEASE.
St. Vincent de Paul and Kirk Care share the food pantry and both will be working hard during the Christmas season and throughout the
coming year to help those in need among us. Your continued generosity makes this possible. A list of suggested items is shown below:
Spam Peanut Butter Spaghetti and Sauce Beef Stew Jelly Canned Vegetables
Ravioli Canned Fruits Macaroni & Cheese Cereal Tuna Boxes of Pasta
Pork & Beans Baked Beans Rice Kleenex Toilet Tissue
Money to buy the food vouchers is always welcome.
Anyone wishing to volunteer for this project gathering and sorting of food will be Thursday, December 8, at Community Church of
Christ, 830 North Kirkwood Road, packing the boxes on Friday, December 9 and distribution to families, Saturday, December 10th. The
fun begins around 8:00AM each morning and we are usually finished by Noon.
