New Student
Activity Center
Annual Car Raffle
Construction has begun. opening set for fall 2009.
Summit Construction Co. of Akron has been chosen as the builder, with John Griffiths as
construction manager. The architect is Westlake Reed Leskosky of Cleveland.
The Student Activity Center is being constructed between the school and the football
field to unify the campus and integrate the new facility with the existing one. It is slated to
be completed by August 1, 2009, for the 2009-2010 school year. It will provide more space
for a wide range of student activities and co-curriculars, while freeing up space in the main
building for the school’s academic programs.

The 7th Annual Irish Family Car Raffle
Raises $87,475.00!
Congratulations to this year’s winners!
A 2009 Chevrolet Malibu was awarded
to lucky winners Gary and Laura Conley!
Sophomore Bridget Conley sold the
winning tickets to her parents. Winners
of the LCD TV were David and Shari
McGrew. Their son Alex is a freshman.
Winner of the $500 Circle K Gas Cards
was Christine Horak. She purchased her
tickets from the alumni & friends mailing.
For the seventh year, we are grateful
to Bob Serpentini’s Chevy Connection
for donating the grand prize car for
the Annual Irish Family Car Raffle. We
are also grateful to Jack Haag V50 and
Mary Lou VM74 and John Ballard. Their
donations make it possible to purchase
the second and third place prizes and
cash incentives.
“Thanks to the incredible generosity
of the Serpentini, Haag and Ballard
families, the school profited from every
ticket that was sold. Proceeds directly
help defray the actual cost of tuition vs.
tuition charged. STVM alumni and friends
helped out in a big way accounting for
$20,265.00 of the total profit,” said
Joanne Zaratsian, Director of Major Gifts.
