Volleyball
The team finished 20-2 in the regular season, losing
only to Walsh and Massillon Perry. They also won both
tournaments they played in winning the Rootstown
and Fairless tournaments. Seniors Sarah Walter and
Catie Huggins have been leaders on the offensive end
and setter Jess Nanez has excelled after replacing 2003
All-Ohioan Jessica Moore. Defensively, it has been a
team effort with Senior Kelly Renzi and Maggie Weber
leading the way. It was another outstanding season for
the lady Irish.
Girls Tennis
The girls finished the season with a record of 10-8 and
a league record of 6-0. Junior Kelly Buschko played
both singles and doubles for the Irish. They defeated
Walsh this year in a 3-2 victory. Seniors Libby Weaver,
Sarah Jackson and Adrienne Sutton provided leadership
as well as excellent tennis play. Junior Laura Koblenzer
also played a vital role at several different positions.
Cross Country
During the highly competitive season, the teams have been deep and very consistent on both the boy's and girl's side. The boys have been
led by Branden King, Brendan McKee and Justin Seikel. The girls have performed very well as a team and have won several of the large
meets they have been in this year. Senior Jean Demboski has been the leader and the girl's team will have every opportunity to make the
state meet and represent STVM in Columbus.
