About the<br />

Conference<br />

We will expl<strong>or</strong>e the the<strong>or</strong>y and practice of therapeutic jurisprudence,<br />

particularly in the context of custody and visitation cases.<br />

The current procedures f<strong>or</strong> f<strong>or</strong>ensic evaluations, including the<br />

issues of post-traumatic stress dis<strong>or</strong>der and parental alienation,<br />

will be analyzed and recommendations made f<strong>or</strong> litigation<br />

strategies and systematic improvements. The psychological<br />

impact of w<strong>or</strong>king with domestic violence victims and best<br />

practices around vicarious trauma will also be discussed.<br />

Conference Time and Fees<br />

March 5, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and<br />

March 6, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in<br />

the F<strong>or</strong>dham <strong>Law</strong> <strong>School</strong> McNally Amphitheatre.<br />

The registration fee is $90 f<strong>or</strong> one day of<br />

the conference and $145 f<strong>or</strong> both days.<br />

CLE Credit is Available<br />

This two-day conference is appropriate f<strong>or</strong><br />

newly admitted and experienced att<strong>or</strong>neys and<br />

is approved f<strong>or</strong> a maximum of 12 transitional<br />

and non-transitional credit hours acc<strong>or</strong>ding to<br />

the following allocation:<br />

Day 1–March 5: 0.5 skills, 1 ethics and<br />

4.5 professional practice<br />

Day 2–March 6: 2.5 skills, 1 ethics, and<br />

2.5 professional practice<br />

Days 1 & 2–March 5 and March 6: 3 skills,<br />

2 ethics, and 7 professional practice<br />

This CLE credit allocation is approved in<br />

acc<strong>or</strong>dance with the requirements of the New<br />

Y<strong>or</strong>k State Continuing Legal Education Board.<br />
