Assistant Coach<br />
Matthew Addison is in his second<br />
year as Assistant Coach for the <strong>Chipola</strong><br />
<strong>Baseball</strong> Program where his duties include<br />
working with the Indian pitchers and<br />
outfielders, as well as serving as recruting<br />
coordinator.<br />
Addison came to <strong>Chipola</strong> after<br />
spending two years as the head baseball<br />
coach at Nettleton High School in Nettleton,<br />
MS. Prior to Nettleton, he spent three<br />
years as an assistant high school coach with stops at Cypress Creek<br />
High School in Orlando, FL, and Maclay High School and North Florida<br />
Christian both in Tallahassee, FL.<br />
Addison also served as a graduate assistant at his alma mater,<br />
Mississippi <strong>College</strong>. He also worked two summers for Harry Porter’s<br />
Mississippi Stars.<br />
In Addison’s young career, he has already coached ten players who<br />
have been drafted and/or signed a professional contract.<br />
As a player, Addison was a three time All-Conference shortstop at<br />
Jackson Prep in Jackson, MS. He went on to be a standout middle infielder<br />
at Mississippi <strong>College</strong> under Head Coach Lee Kuyrkendall. During his<br />
playing career, Addison was named Team Captain for his junior and senior<br />
seasons and was honored as Mississippi <strong>College</strong> Alumni’s Outstanding<br />
Senior Athlete.<br />
He earned his Bachelor’s degree as a Magna Cum Laude graduate<br />
in Chemistry and Biology in 2002 from Mississippi <strong>College</strong>.<br />
Addison is married to the former Katie Turner of Ocala, FL, and they<br />
have a two year old son, Banks.<br />

Assistant Coach<br />
Chris Hutcheson is in his first year as<br />
Assistant Coach for the <strong>Chipola</strong> <strong>Baseball</strong><br />
Program.<br />
Hutcheson came to <strong>Chipola</strong> after<br />
coaching at Lurleen B Wallace Community<br />
<strong>College</strong>. While at LBWCC, the Saints won<br />
four conference championships, two state<br />
championships and made two trips to the<br />
JUCO World Series finishing runner-up in<br />
2004.<br />
He went to Jefferson Davis Community <strong>College</strong> in 1997. While<br />
at JDCC, the Warhawks won 5 conference championships, two state<br />
championships and made two trips to the JUCO World Series winning<br />
the National Championship in 1998.<br />
Hutcheson began his coaching career in September 1996 at Okaloosa-Walton<br />
Community <strong>College</strong> as a volunteer assistant.<br />
Over the past ten years Hutcheson has been an Associate Scout for<br />
the Dodgers, Red Sox, Braves and Brewers organizations.<br />
