02/11/11 Press Release 11/18 For immediate release: Fensport crowned Toyota Sprint Champions
The Fensport Celica GT4X takes the 2011 Toyota Sprint Series title, finishing 1st overall with 3 outright
wins and 3 second places, driven by Adrian Smith the 660bhp sprint spec Celica GT4 X has enjoyed an
extremely close battle with Jonny Milner in his Celica GT4 (below right). The pair have been trading
fractions of seconds all year in what was the closest battle to date. Both Drivers finishing on 403 points
out of a possible 405, Adrian retains the title by winning the first round back at Rockingham. Just goes
to show you need to hit the ground running when the competition is this close :)
The Celica GT4 X has proved to be very reliable all year and is now in pure sprint specification, a
smaller turbo housing nets 660bhp and as much torque as we can squeeze out of it. The new PPG
Gearbox has proven very reliable and a joy to drive. The suspension has also been re worked with
revised geometry and bodywork changes have helped to increase downforce.
Adrian says "We have only made small changes to the car this year, but it has made the world of
difference, the GT4X is an absolute joy to drive, the smaller turbo housing has helped with early power
delivery, the new PPG gearbox has transformed the car and the new suspension and aero additions
keep the car very composed in the corners :) I'm very happy to win the series and have thoroughly
enjoyed the fight with Jonny, the competition is so close and the smooth running of the events make it
so enjoyable"

More good news for the Fensport team with Tim Cogman who put in a faultless performance to win 6
out of 6 rounds and take the win in class F Pro. Tim was co sharing the ex TRD Netz cup Yaris with
owner Jane Newsome. The pair put on a good show throughout the year, surprising some of the more
powerful machinery on the way.
The Toyota Sprint Series took part over 6 rounds throughout the year and has evolved in to an
excellent series which caters for both novice and professional teams and drivers. Further information
on the series can be found at www.Toyotasprint.com
2011 has been an excellent year for the Fensport team and we would like to take this opportunity
thank all our sponsors for their kind help and support :)
