COOL – moderate temperatures
and perfect conditions
The Tengine COOL LED system from Tridonic
is so versatile that it can provide the right lighting in
a chiller cabinet presenting fresh food at temperatures
above zero. Depending on the specific application,
different lenses are available for different light patterns.
In contrast to fluorescent lamps, no light is wasted.
Tengine COOL is therefore ideal for any combination
of overhead and shelf lighting arrangements and
offers optimum performance in terms of lighting effect
and energy efficiency. And this also applies, of course,
to the latest trend for chillers with doors that reduce
energy consumption still further.
A special “cool meat” light colour ( Rff > 80 ) patented
by Tridonic is available that makes meat and sausages
look fresh and appealing because it emphasizes the
various red tones. Milk and dairy products on the other
hand have maximum shelf appeal in a neutral white light.
SERVE – looking good
Tengine SERVE is designed for self-service
counters. The important consideration here is that
the lighting must present the food in an appetising
way without degrading sensitive products. LED light
is ideal because it contains no IR or UV components.
The specially developed “cool meat” light colour offers
added value for displaying fresh meat and sausages.
The “gold” version provides a warm light and offers
excellent colour rendering ( R a > 90 ) for mouth-watering
cheese, bread and bakery products.
The Tengine COOL LED system has a standard
length of 1,200 mm, which matches the module width
of chiller shelving. Chillers with doors are equipped
with Tengine COOL door ( length 1,500 mm ).
Perfectly directed LED light of sufficient brightness
and with the right light colour is an extremely energyefficient
and attractive way of presenting chilled food.
