TEAM SELECTION CRITERIA – SENIOR AFRICA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS<br />
2012<br />
Herewith find attached the swimming selection criteria, for the team to participate in the<br />
Senior <strong>Africa</strong> <strong>Swimming</strong> Championships in Nairobi, Kenya from 10 to 15 September 2012.<br />

Criteria for Senior <strong>Africa</strong> <strong>Swimming</strong> Championships March 2012<br />
SELECTION CRITERIA, SENIOR AFRICA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS,<br />
NAIROBI, KENYA, 10 - 15 SEPTEMBER 2012<br />
1) Eligibility<br />
a. Only <strong>SSA</strong> registered swimmers will be considered for selection<br />
b. Selected swimmers must be in possession of a valid <strong>South</strong> <strong>Africa</strong>n<br />
passport and have chosen <strong>South</strong> <strong>Africa</strong> as their Sport Nationality.<br />
c. Agree to and sign the <strong>SSA</strong> Athlete and Team Official Agreement.<br />
d. The <strong>SSA</strong> Executive reserves the right to amend these criteria and the<br />
amended criteria will be circulated.<br />
e. <strong>SSA</strong> Executive committee will ratify the final team selection.<br />
2) Criteria<br />
a. Participation at the 2012 S A National Aquatic Championships 16 - 22 April<br />
2012<br />
b. Team selection will be accordance with the <strong>SSA</strong> Transformation Policy.<br />
c. Swimmers must be available to travel to Kenya in September 2012.<br />
d. Swimmers must be placed first or second in the final of the event at the 2012<br />
S A National Aquatic Championship to be considered for selection.<br />
e. All selected swimmers must be available for relay selection.<br />
f. Swimmers selected to participate at the London 2012 Olympic Games will not<br />
be considered for selection for this event<br />
3) Funding<br />
a. This will be a self-funded tour<br />
