Urban Road have collaborated with Emma Blomfield from Nest Designs to<br />
create their debut Designer Rug Collection with incredible success<br />
Urban Road is an Australian brand known for<br />
its original canvas art prints and cushions. This<br />
season they have recently launched their new<br />
Summer 2014 collection which has their debut<br />
Designer Rug Collection. They have collaborated<br />
with Emma Blomfield of Nest Designs.<br />
Emma Blomfield is an interior stylist who is<br />
passionate about making stylish interiors<br />
affordable and accessible to everyone - the<br />
perfect partner for Urban Road to create a<br />
unique range of designer rugs at affordable<br />
prices, whilst pushing the boundaries in rug<br />
design.<br />
“Suzie and I were inspired by the summery<br />
colours, tones and textures of Palm Springs in<br />
California,” says Emma. “ We wanted the rug<br />
range to be bold and bright with a sense of fun<br />
thrown in for good measure. After all, a rug is<br />
really a piece of artwork for your floor and each<br />
of the nine rugs in this collection tells it own<br />
artistic story. The colours we chose are varied in<br />
tones with a heavy focus on aquas, purple hues<br />
and darker shades of navy and grey to outline<br />
and make certain features of the rugs stand out.<br />
We wanted a broad range of styles across the<br />
Designer Rug Collection so that they could be<br />
used in a variety of homes - from the leopard<br />
to the palms, there’s a rug to suit almost any<br />
home’s architecture. Moving into spring these<br />
rugs will pack a punch when it comes to adding<br />
colour, scale and character to your space.”<br />
The Designer Rug Collection complements<br />
perfectly the new Summer 2014 Urban Road<br />
canvas and cushion collection, which takes<br />
inspiration from the cool, salty ocean breeze of a<br />
coastal Australian summer with a Palm Springs<br />
twist, harking back to Suzie Atkin’s childhood<br />
home of California.<br />
The Designer Rug Collection has a diverse<br />
selection of designs from intricate patterns to<br />
abstract lines, there is sure to be an option<br />
perfect for your home or office.<br />
Made from a low pile, acrylic based Chenille,<br />
using fade resistant, eco-friendly inks. The<br />
reverse of the rug features a dotted non-woven<br />
backing with anti-slip dots to keep the rug in<br />
place. These quality floor rugs will make a lasting<br />
