LICE FACTS<br />
Anyone can get lice.<br />
If it does not brush off easily, it’s not dandruff.<br />
Stay home from school if you find live lice.<br />
Lice are alive and they lay eggs.<br />
They do not jump, they only crawl.<br />
Lice do not make you sick, they do not spread<br />
disease.<br />
Live lice and eggs need to be picked out.<br />
Shaving or cutting your hair short is not a form of<br />
treatment.<br />

TREATING LICE<br />
1. Cover wet hair in conditioner.<br />
2. Divide hair into sections.<br />
3. Comb through each section, picking out lice<br />
and nits.<br />
4. Wipe comb on paper towel after each brush.<br />
5. When finished, rinse hair.<br />
6. Wash the comb in hot water after each use.<br />
7. Repeat steps 1‐6 daily for 10 days.<br />
