LICE FACTS
Anyone can get lice.
If it does not brush off easily, it’s not dandruff.
Stay home from school if you find live lice.
Lice are alive and they lay eggs.
They do not jump, they only crawl.
Lice do not make you sick, they do not spread
disease.
Live lice and eggs need to be picked out.
Shaving or cutting your hair short is not a form of
treatment.

TREATING LICE
1. Cover wet hair in conditioner.
2. Divide hair into sections.
3. Comb through each section, picking out lice
and nits.
4. Wipe comb on paper towel after each brush.
5. When finished, rinse hair.
6. Wash the comb in hot water after each use.
7. Repeat steps 1‐6 daily for 10 days.
