[_______________________] 3. [_______________________] 4. [_______________________] 2.02 GENERAL A. Unit layout and configuration shall be as defined in project plans and schedule. B. Unit manufacturer to provide an integral base frame to support all sections of unit and raise unit for proper trapping. Contractor will be responsible for providing a housekeeping pad when unit base frame is not of sufficient height to properly trap unit. Unit base frames not constructed of galvanized steel shall be chemically cleaned and coated with both a rust-inhibiting primer and finished coat of rust-inhibiting enamel. *********************************************** Choose only one of the following OR paragraphs: *********************************************** C. Entire unit shall have a full perimeter base rail for structural rigidity and condensate trapping. 2.03 Unit Casing ***** OR ***** Entire unit shall have a 6-inch full perimeter base rail for structural rigidity and condensate trapping. ***** OR ***** Entire unit shall have an 8-inch full perimeter base rail for structural rigidity and condensate trapping. A. Unit manufacturer shall ship separate segments so unit can be broken down for ease of installation in tight spaces. The entire air handler shall be constructed of galvanized steel. Casing finished to meet ASTM B117 250-hour salt-spray test. The removal of access panels or access doors shall not affect the structural integrity of the unit. All removable panels shall be gasketed. All doors shall have gasketing around full perimeter to prevent air leakage. Casing performance – Casing air leakage shall not exceed leak class 9 (CL = 9) per ASHRAE 111 at specified casing pressure, where maximum casing leakage (cfm/100 ft 2 of casing surface area) = CL X P 0.65 . ***** OR ***** Casing performance – Casing air leakage shall not exceed leak class 6 (CL = 6) per ASHRAE 111 at specified casing pressure, where maximum casing leakage (cfm/100 ft 2 of casing surface area) = CL X P 0.65 . ***** OR ***** Casing performance – Casing air leakage shall not exceed 2 percent of design airflow at the specified casing pressure. ***** OR ***** Casing performance – Casing air leakage shall not exceed 1 percent of design airflow at the specified casing pressure. *********************************************** Choose only one of the following OR paragraphs: *********************************************** C. Air leakage shall be determined at 1.00 times maximum casing static pressure up to 8 inches w.g. Specified air leakage shall be accomplished without the use of caulk. Total estimated air leakage shall be reported for each unit in CFM, as a percentage of supply air, and as an ASHRAE 111 Leakage Class. ***** OR ***** Air leakage shall be determined at 1.25 times maximum casing static pressure up to 8 inches w.g. Specified air leakage shall be accomplished without the use of caulk.
