Sliding Door Fittings Technical Information Fittings for wooden sliding doors This catalogue shows fittings for wooden sliding doors with a maximum door weight of 750 kg. Fittings for wooden sliding doors consist of a fitting set and a running track. If necessary, further components can be added. A fitting set contains, amongst other fittings, suspension elements, a floor guide and possibly a track buffer. Door leaf connection • Clamped door leaf connection Door leaf attached by clamping with additional point suspension • Recessed door leaf connection The door leaf is attached by groove mounting the fitting into the edge or surface of the door. This makes the attachment invisible, and also reduces the gap sizes to a minimum. Installation • Support profile – Flange clip The suspension carriage is inserted or clipped into the support profile from the side (without tools). • Support flange Support flanges, suspension bars and the two-way suspension are inserted from the side or the front. They are fitted to the door, which increases the installation height. Floor guides • Standard floor guides The floor guide is groove-mounted into the edge of the door leaf. A small amount of play is required in the groove width with this type of floor guide. • Floor guide with zero clearance A floor guide with zero clearance is an adjustable guide that can be individually adapted to any door width/groove width within the adjusting range. • Guide track Sliding doors can be optionally guided in a guide track at the bottom. Track buffers/track stoppers • End stop without retaining spring. • Track buffer with retaining spring. The retaining spring allows the sliding door to be held in a closed or open position. 6 Fittings for glass sliding doors Glass doors made with tempered safety glass for glass thicknesses of 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm Glass doors made from laminated glass for glass thicknesses of 6-12.7 mm Dimensions in mm Inches are approximate AH 6.6 Door leaf connection • Clamped door leaf connection Door leaf attached by clamping with or without additional point suspension Installation • Positive-fit glass clamp connection is point suspension with glass preparation. • Glass clamp connection (without positive connection) is point suspension without glass preparation. A 1-leaf sliding doors One leaf is opened to one side in front of a wall A B 1-leaf sliding doors One leaf is opened to one side into a wall pocket C 2-leaf sliding doors (Hawa Telescopic) Parallel opening of two leaves to the right or the left D 2-leaf sliding doors (Silent Synchro or Hawa Symmetric) Symmetrical opening of two leaves; manual or automatic E 4-leaf sliding doors (Hawa Telescopic) Parallel opening of two leaves, at the same time, symmetrical opening of all four leaves (wooden sliding doors only) B C D E F 1 and 2-leaf curved sliding doors Curved sliding doors can be implemented using curved running tracks and a special f i tting. The segment size of a leaf must not exceed a quarter circle. F Fittings for folding walls Folding walls are used to partition rooms. Pushing a folding wall to one side and stacking the leaves provides unrestricted passage. Suspension at side of door leaf The leaves are connected to each other with hinges and can be stacked at the right and/or the left. In the open position the leaves are at an angle of 90º to the solid wall below the running track. If the suspension point is in the middle of the leaf, a floor guide is not necessary provided that the doors are operated with care. Depending on the fi tting, the suspension point is at the side edge, near the side edge or in the middle of the door leaf. Possible door leaf suspension points 6 Dimensional data not binding.
