Balanced connections have an inherent strength: Common-mode noise rejection. There are<br />
three conductors in a balanced connection: plus, minus, and ground. Any RFI- or EMI-induced<br />
noise riding the positive and negative signal lines cancel themselves out making balanced<br />
especially effective for longer runs. Balanced connections minimize Electromagnetic Interference<br />
(EMI)- and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)-induced distortion, while separate<br />
ground lines further lower noise. Many listeners report balanced cables sound quieter, with a<br />
richer midrange and more powerful bass. Moving from Entry Level up expect increasing clarity<br />
and transparency, tighter and more controlled bass, better sound-staging, and better detail<br />
retrieval in the midrange and highs.<br />
