TRAVEL EUROPE:
Tour operator cracks the 100-employees-mark and increases sales again
Travel Europe, active in incoming tourism for over 25 years, demonstrates a real success story:
Within 20 years, the Europe-wide tour operator headquatered in Stans has increased its volume
of sales to 98,8 million Euros. At the headquarters alone, more than a 100 staff members are
presently employed.
Over 25 years ago, the sucess story started with the foundation of the travel agency „Tirol Hotels“ in
Stans. The family business rapidly developed from a little Tyrolean travel agency to an international
tour operator.
101 employees and still not enough
The tour operator in Stans alone consists of 101 employees who work in the modernly designed
company building in Stans, newly constructed in 2005. The hotel Schwarzbrunn and the Gasthof
Marschall, belonging to it, employ another 100 staff members.
The expansion, however, did not only take place in Tyrol but also Europe-wide. Besides the
subsidiary company VISIT EUROPE in Paris, the family business disposes of branch offices in the
whole of Europe: Paris, Prague, Budapest, Dubrovnik, Pula, Krakow, Berlin, Vienna, Funchal, Lisbon,
London and Amman with 80 additional employees.
Within the last years, Travel Europe has not only further established itself on the traditional main
market France but has also managed to open new sales markets, such as Spain, Belgium, Great
Britain, the UK, the USA and Canada. The product range for travel agencies includes coach and air
trips (with in-house charter flights) throughout Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe as well as
Jordan and Israel. Tour packages in the most different European countries such as Austria, Germany,
Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovenia, Rumania, Montenegro, Croatia,
France, Portugal, Madeira, Jordan and Israel are continously extended and ensure a wide product
range.
The company´s success has reached a new peak in the course of the past business year. Its
headquarters in Stans has increased its volume of sales to 87 million Euros and together with all
branch offices it has risen to 98,8 million Euros! But not enough with that, this year too, Travel Europe
wants to score ahead of all others with a new destination.
New destination Corsica
Through the take over of an incoming tour operator in Corsica, Travel Europe´s product range has
again been extended. Corsica becomes a new charter destination for flights from the whole of France.
“With this new destination we intend to create a new, attractive offer and to provide another holiday
destination for our clients”, says the manager.

Hotel Schwarzbrunn****sup and Gasthof Marschall
The Wellness Hotel Schwarzbrunn, which is also owned by the Gschwentner family, was at the heart
of TRAVEL EUROPE´s success since the marketing activity was focused on the hotel at the beginning
of the travel agency services. Today, the hotel belongs to the 4 star superior category and disposes of
121 rooms and suites. The wellness area is actually being enlarged to 3000 square kilometres. The
Gasthof Marschall in Stans belongs to the successful company too and offers typical Gasthaus
tradition, Tyrolean specialities and event opportunities for ceremonies, such as weddings, familiy and
company celebrations of all kind.
