Baltimore/Washington Reunion<br />
Aer six inches of snow fell on Saturday, our reunion<br />
scheduled for Sunday at Dave & Buster’s seemed a bit<br />
quesonable. Despite the weather the Balmore/<br />
Washington/Virginia reunion turned out to be<br />
wonderful! The award for most distance traveled for<br />
the reunion goes to… Seb! Seb traveled all the way<br />
from England to be with everyone. Second place<br />
goes to… our Florida travelers! Jamie Shalek, Colby<br />
Schepps and the whole Yagman family (except dad)<br />
le the Sunshine State to see the snow and all of their<br />
friends. Murray Kramer and Aubrey Faggen arrived<br />
from Pennsylvania. Mara Markinson came from New<br />
York and Stephanie (Buelah) Cespedes and Dave<br />
Claypole came from West Virginia. It’s great how<br />
everyone came from near and far to be together with<br />
their camp friends!<br />
The reunion really started on Friday night when<br />
everyone started to arrive at Lisa Miller’s house,<br />
Jamie, Sara & Sam Westerman’s house, College Park<br />
and Zack Goden’s house. While I was having supper<br />
with friends at Liberatorie’s, I got text’d and five extra<br />
dinner guests arrived. We got a larger table and<br />
all laughed and welcomed the start of 2010. Then<br />
on Saturday night, the Westerman’s had eight girls<br />
over for a pre-camp reunion party. Even with all the<br />
snow and dirt tracked into the house, it sll looked<br />
prey clean aerwards! The evening topped off with<br />
Mara Markinson and Seb arriving by train to surprise<br />
Mallory Gothelf, Jamie Westerman, Aubrey Faggen,<br />
Jamie Shalek, Logan Nowicki, Jesse Nigrin, Jesse<br />
Schaffer, Sabrina Yagman, and Sloane Kessler.<br />
An hour before the event on Sunday the<br />
administrave staff met to connue planning the<br />
summer of 2010. With the roads clear of snow,<br />
campers started arriving at 12:45. Over 120 people<br />
aended the reunion at Dave and Buster’s. New<br />
campers, old campers, alumni, <strong>new</strong> counselors and<br />
last year’s staff all arrived as if camp was sll going<br />
on. Parents were in awe about the camaraderie<br />
amongst children and staff. The food was excellent<br />
and the company was amazing. The day started<br />
off with a wonderful buffet lunch and ended with<br />
bowling, hugs and ancipaon for the summer.<br />
Did you know Uncle Fred is turning 80 years old<br />
February 26th? He could not make the reunion but<br />
we sang Happy Birthday and ate cake anyway!<br />
To start and name all of the campers could be an<br />
embarrassment as I do not want to forget anyone.<br />
All I can say is that the room was crowded and we<br />
had an amazing aernoon! As ancipaon grows for<br />
the summer to begin, we can now get busy planning<br />
transportaon, entertainment, groups, programming,<br />
athlecs, travel teams, SNF, etc., etc.<br />
So, only 134 days and counng unl we are together<br />
again!<br />
