Establishment of IAA
• Skills transfer: skills transfer implementation
plan should be developed to
ensure that the IA staff members are
capacitated and their skills enhanced
throughout the process.
Types of sourcing alternatives:
• Outsourcing is where the internal audit is
conducted by an external service
provider;
• Co-sourcing is where the external
service provider works together with inhouse
IAA resources; and
• Shared Services is where one IAA
provides services to multiple organisations
through a centralised IAA.
Implementation of the required work to
be undertaken is based on Service Level
Agreements with the organisations
serviced by the Shared Service.
