Overview<br />

Vykon ® , powered by the revolutionary Niagara Framework ® , is a suite of Java-based products<br />

designed to integrate a variety of devices and protocols into a common distributed automation<br />

system. The Vykon <strong>OPC</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong> is a comprehensive web-based HMI solution that<br />

enables users to monitor, control, and implement site-wide supervisory functions for data<br />

points connected via <strong>OPC</strong> server devices. <strong>OPC</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong> supports third-party <strong>OPC</strong> servers<br />

compatible with the Data Access 1.0 and 2.0 specifications.<br />

Vykon <strong>OPC</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong> provides full Niagara Framework functionality: dynamic graphics,<br />

archival of historical data, alarm management, scheduling, web browser access, real-time<br />

control, audit trail, and secure access.<br />

Supported by Niagara Framework Version 2.3 or higher.<br />

Minimum platform for the Vykon <strong>OPC</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong> is a Pentium 4 @<br />

1.5 GHz, with 1 GB of RAM, and 80 GB hard drive, Microsoft<br />

Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, or Windows XP Professional.<br />

The Vykon Master Web <strong>Supervisor</strong> also supports the<br />

Vykon <strong>OPC</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong> and will enable multiple Vykon<br />

Web <strong>Supervisor</strong>s to connect to multiple <strong>OPC</strong> servers for<br />

maximum configuration flexibility.
