Wind-Solar Hybrid Generator
Inaugurated at Hazara University
The Department of Physics, Hazara
University, Mansehra launched a
p o w e r g e n e ra t i n g p r o j e c t
harnessing the wind and solar
energy. This source of new
generation of power would meet
the needs of an average family with

organized by the Department of
Zoology, Hazara University (HU),
Mansehra, in collaboration with the
Higher Education Commission.
More than 450 researchers and
representatives of 58 universities
and research institutions shared
their valuable experience,

IIU Man Gets US Fellowship
M r. M u h a m m a d R i z w a n ,
Assistant Director (Network),
Faculty of Engineering and
Technology (FET), International
Islamic University (IIU),
Islamabad has been awarded
fellowship for MS-Technology programme in a
leading university of USA. His areas of interests
are Computer Networks and Technology
Management. He is associated with
International Islamic University since 1999. He
has been actively involved in establishing FET
laboratories and IT infrastructure, PEC
coordination and accreditation visits and
organizing various events.
GIKI Gold Medalist
Joins MIT PhD Programme
Wardah Inam, who recently graduated
from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI)
of Engineering, Sciences and Technology
has received a staff appointment as a
Research Assistant to fund her study in
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT). She will join EECS Department of
MIT in fall 2010 for the PhD programme.
She bagged three gold medals, a record
in the history of GIKI. Wardah Inam won
the Faculty Gold Medal, Ghulam Ishaq
Khan Medal and the Quaid-e-Azam
Medal.
