Toms River, New Jersey, November 20, 2012 total score. The scores at each high school reflected traditional performance of the individual schools. While scores at Toms River High School South dropped overall, Toms River High School North scores remained above the national average and Toms River High School East surpassed both state and national averages. Insurance – Mrs. Jubert Mrs. Jubert stated seventeen and one half years and would like to thank the residents of South Toms River for allowing her the privilege to have served for the amount of time as their representative to the Toms River Board of Education. I have also had the privilege to serve these years with some extraordinary members. I will always feel pride for the many accomplishments we as a Board have been able to achieve. We endured challenges but the main focus has always been what is best for the students and staff of this district. I leave these many years behind me next month having one son but have been blessed with watching so many children grow. God Bless the students and staff of this district and I thank you for all your support throughout the years. The Insurance Committee of the Board of Education of the Toms River Regional Schools met on November 13, 2012 at 1144 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, New Jersey in Conference Room C at 5:30 P.M. This meeting is not publicly advertised as the committee reviews workers compensation and liability billing information which includes names and case information for individual staff members. In attendance were Committee Chair Jamie Jubert, Committee member Alex Pavliv, Superintendent- Frank Roselli and Business Administrator- William Doering. Also in attendance was Scott Tennant from AJ Gallagher Risk Management. The Insurance Committee reviewed the Inservco bills for October 1-12, 2012 totaling $267,065.67 and October 13-31, 2012 totaling $191,818.09, with regards to the detail of claim payments for the workers compensation and liability programs. Questions were asked by committee members regarding payments, which were answered by the administration. The committee is recommending payment of these bills. The committee was updated by Scott Tennant from AJ Gallagher Risk Management regarding the status of the insurance reports which will be provided to the committee on a recurring basis. Report templates were reviewed for workers compensation (account 370) and liability (account 374). We have a weekly new claim report and the monthly report which would capture that information is still in development. Additional reports to be reviewed monthly include; the indemnity report, open claim report, closed claim report, reopened claim report and major reserve change report. These documents will provide meaningful information on a monthly basis, and will be supplemented by other additional reports on a quarterly and/or annual basis. APPROVAL OF THE HARASSMENT, INTIMIDATION AND BULLYING REPORT A motion was made by Mr. Baxter, seconded by Mrs. Jubert and carried that the approval of the Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying Report be approved: On roll call the following vote: Ayes: Baxter, Giovine, Jubert, Kakavas, Pavliv, Torrone, Reuther Noes: None Abstained: None Absent: Jedziniak, Gearity APPROVAL OF THE FOLLOWING REGULATION, SECOND READING AND FINAL ADOPTION OF POLICY #7460 A motion was made by Mrs. Jubert, seconded by Mr. Kakavas and carried that the approval of the Second Reading and Final Approval of Policy # 7460 be approved: On roll call the following vote: Ayes: Baxter, Giovine, Jubert, Kakavas, Pavliv, Torrone, Reuther Noes: None Abstained: None Absent: Jedziniak, Gearity APPROVAL OF SETTLEMENT WITH ARCHWAY PROGRAMS FOR $17,361.47 TO BE PAID TO THE DISTRICT TO SETTLE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION DISPUTED TUITION COSTS (PRIVATE SCHOOL FOR THE HANDICAPPED) FROM 1994-1999 A motion was made by Mr. Kakavas, seconded by Mr. Reuther and carried that the approval of Settle with Archway Programs for $17,361.47 to be paid to the District to Settle Department of Education Disputed Tuition Costs (Private School for the Handicapped) from 1994-1999 be approved: On roll call the following vote: Ayes: Baxter, Jubert, Kakavas, Pavliv, Torrone, Reuther Noes: None Abstained: Giovine Absent: Jedziniak, Gearity APPROVAL OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH OCEAN, INC (HEAD START) A motion was made by Mr. Baxter, seconded by Mr. Giovine and carried that the approval of Memorandum of Understanding with Ocean Inc.
