a. Manufacturing of PV Modules:<br />
VEPL manufactures high quality solar PV panels in the global class manufacturing<br />
plant using the state of the art machinery from our associate company M/s Kohima<br />
<strong>Energy</strong> <strong>Pvt</strong>. <strong>Ltd</strong>. The plant is built to accommodate an annual production capacity of<br />
120 MWp and presently has an installed capacity of 30 MWp. This fully airconditioned<br />
plant has a built-up area of 36,000 sq.ft. we have also obtained both UL<br />
and IEC certifications for our products, the benchmarks in the global solar industry.<br />

The manufacturing unit of 120 MW annual capacity of Polycrystalline Silicon<br />
Modules is housed in a building with a near clean room environment with zone-wise<br />
humidity and temperature control of its air conditioning and ventilation systems<br />
required for process and raw material storage.<br />
The State of the Art automatic Tabber-Stringers and the Lay-up machines with builtin<br />
robots for cell alignment, cell inspection, handling and accurate lay-up placement<br />
are being bought from a leading supplier. The Sun Simulator is also being bought<br />
from a reputed supplier who is well-known for manufacturing Simulators with the best<br />
testing accuracy, reliability and uniformity.<br />
<strong>Vamana</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> is planning to set up a technology innovation center and a reliability<br />
lab for continuous process engineering improvement and innovation.<br />
Manufacturing Quality Control<br />
The quality control machines include an Electro-Luminescence Tester to check the<br />
quality of the modules for micro-cracks, breakages etc as also to check and validate<br />
the operating cell voltages. The modules are tested in better than a Class AAA Sun<br />
Simulator for overall electrical characteristics.<br />
The unit is designed to have a SCADA system with related software and analytical<br />
tools to analyze and trend the manufacturing data online real time.<br />
