TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
Silicate protect against rust and corrosion
in metal water-storage tanks.
This liquid forms a thin, protective film on exposed metal surfaces
to inhibit the development of rust and corrosion. Its non-toxic and
odorless formula protects all metals, including iron, steel, galvanized
steel, brass, bronze, copper and alloys. It does not contain chromates
or heavy metals, and it won’t leave behind residue.

departments, laundry and hotel water storage systems.

Tank Saver inhibits rust and corrosion formation in all metal water tanks. Designed
for fi re departments, utility, industrial and municipal storage tanks, laundry and
hotel water storage systems and emergency water supply facilities. It forms a
thin protective fi lm on exposed metal surfaces.
This non-toxic, odorless and tasteless inhibitor protects all metals including iron,
steel, galvanized, brass, bronze, copper and alloys. It leaves no toxic residue, so
treated water tanks may be used for potable water without cleaning or rinsing.
DIRECTIONS: In fi re truck tanks, emergency storage tanks, back pack sprayers
and holding tanks, add 1 gallon of tank saver for each 1000 gallons of water. Treat
every time the tank is fi lled.
For potable water system, inject or meter in 10-1/2 to 13 gallons of product with
100,000 gallons of water. Days after the initial treatment, a fl ush of the system
may be required to remove old corrosive deposits that have been cleaned from
the metal surfaces.
After a 6-8 week initial treatment period, decrease the feed rate to 5-1/4 to 6-3/4
gallons of product with 100,000 gallons of water.

FIRST AID:
EXTERNAL: Flush with plenty of cool water.
INTERNAL: Do no induce vomiting. Give person several glasses of water and
obtain immediate medical attention.
EYES: Flush eye and under eyelids with plenty of cool water for at least 15
minutes and obtain medical attention.
