The totally unique <strong>SOLOtic</strong> helmet combines<br />
full head and face protection with respiratory<br />
protection, “hands free” communications and<br />
“hands free” vision.<br />
You can identify objects through even the densest smoke by means of a fully<br />
integrated thermal imaging camera, which displays the image inside the face<br />
mask by augmented reality viewing optics. The ergonomic design gives clean<br />
lines to the outside of the helmet leaving nothing protruding which could catch<br />
on hanging debris in a fire situation.<br />
• <strong>SOLOtic</strong> is approved and in use in various applications worldwide.<br />
• Padded ear protectors provide additional insulation to<br />
enhance radio communication and absorb side impacts.<br />
• Images are picked up through the centrally mounted camera.<br />
• Thermal images are displayed to the wearer through the<br />
augmented viewing lenses.<br />
• Glass fibre/kevlar ® shell bonded with Class 1 fire retardant resin<br />
and Class 1 Gelcoat, will withstand a flashover of over 1000 O C<br />
for 10 seconds.<br />
• Suitable for use with all known breathing apparatus.<br />
Thermal Image System<br />
The <strong>SOLOtic</strong> is fitted with a centrally mounted thermal camera specifically<br />
manufactured for Solo Ti. The image from the camera is displayed inside the face<br />
mask by augmented reality viewing optics. When no smoke is present the fire<br />
fighter looks through the optics and in smoke he sees the image in the optics.<br />
There is no need to change the eye line in any conditions.<br />
A battery indicator is displayed in the augmented reality viewing optics.<br />
The battery is mounted inside the helmet with an operating ON/OFF switch<br />
mounted on the side of the helmet. These parameters have been optimised to<br />
provide enhanced image performance with longer battery life. Video output is<br />
provided by a miniature BNC socket on the battery housing.<br />
