<strong>Project</strong> Enablers<br />

There are four primary project enablers <strong>of</strong> the Sunflower <strong>Project</strong>. These are the critical supporting roles<br />

and associated activities required for successful implementation <strong>of</strong> the new Statewide FMS. The bulleted<br />

lists below summarize elements <strong>of</strong> each enabler.<br />

<strong>Project</strong> Controls<br />

• Role Description:<br />

• Monitor the health <strong>of</strong> the project with respect to scope, cost and schedule and provide<br />

status information to the Sunflower <strong>Project</strong> Leadership Team and the Kansas Information<br />

Technology Office(KITO)<br />

• Responsibilities:<br />

• Assist Accenture in development and modifications <strong>of</strong> the project plan<br />

• Monitor the project plan and review weekly and monthly status reports<br />

• Identify issues and elevate to management for resolution<br />

• Manage administrative aspects <strong>of</strong> deliverables<br />

• Administer the change control process<br />

• Provide guidance to agencies developing project plans for agency-related project<br />

activities<br />

• Prepare quarterly KITO submittals<br />

Change Management<br />

• Role Description:<br />

• Assist agencies with implementation support including training and ensure agencies are<br />

completing their required work on time and in accordance with the overall Quality<br />

Assurance (QA) standards<br />

• Responsibilities:<br />

• Assist in defining and resolving requirements to support the State <strong>of</strong> Kansas’ business<br />

processes from a change management perspective<br />

• Prepare and manage communication approach and plan<br />

• Prepare and manage training approach and plan<br />

• Prepare and distribute communications<br />

• Design and develop training materials<br />

• Plan, manage, and execute end user training<br />

• Participate in assessing deployment readiness<br />

• Prepare, execute, and compile surveys and results<br />

Quality Assurance<br />

• Role Description:<br />

• Participate in defining the QA standards for the Sunflower <strong>Project</strong> including measuring<br />

agency QA capabilities, developing testing methodologies, and tracking and report<br />

defects<br />

• Responsibilities:<br />

• Participate in Analyze sessions to understand requirements<br />
