The Real Meaning of a “Leader”
Hello Friends! Welcome to the Leadership lab. What
led you to pick up this book and flip through its pages?
I am sure; you did it either out of curiosity or perhaps
the cover design of this book attracted you. Well, both
the factors sound great to me. Actually, traits such as,
curiosity and interest are the early signs of strong
leadership potential. It means you are ready to initiate
the process of becoming a leader.
Yeah! Process or you may call it stages. Almost
everything is created through some process in this world.
Today, if you are a smart young fella, who knows many
subjects, then most certainly you have gone through
various stages, such as infancy, toddler, and boyhood to
reach where you are today. And in this process, you have
learnt what you know today in the various stages of
your life. Did you know about those subjects when you
were born? How did you acquire all that knowledge?
The answer to the first question is, No. You acquired this
knowledge through proper training in your school and
at home.
Similarly, leadership is not a trait that anybody is born
with. When I was younger, just like you, I thought that
I was a born leader and I would automatically become
the class monitor in the next session. I had naturally
something special in me and I thought my teacher
