me feel. I mentally break the scene
downinto smaller elements to control
the chaos of the natural landscape
and while doing so, focus on what
excited about the scene in the first
place. Simplicity is something that I
strive for in my work, images that are
quiet and subtle, inviting you in,
encouraging you to stay a while and
enjoy the peace.
Black and white photography is my
preference. It makes more sense to
me, I see in black and white. Colour
just feels foreign. Contrast, texture,
shape, lines and positive and negative
space are what speak to me. In most
circumstances, I find colour to be too
distracting. I say in most cases,
because I do have some colour
images, but they are few and far
between.
