Interview Describe your Band in few words? Blue Horizon is a Rock Band which started in the August of 2011 in Dehradun. It is a 5 piece band which plays music not bound by any articular genre. We are inspired by artists like dream theatre, Guthrie Govan, Creed, Guns ‘n’ Roses , Linkin Park , Red Hot Chili Peppers and the list goes on. Though we are not anywhere close to them but wes try and learn from everything we do. What we like is more of melody based stuff which has a particular concept and attention grabbing melodies. When and why did you start playing? The Blue Horizon was officially Formed in the August of 2011, although we did start jamming together from May 2011
How often and for how long do you practice? We normally practice on alternate days for 3-5 hours per session, practice sessions also depend on the type of event and its urgency. our spots and started playing. Initially it was tough, but then with practice and determination the band started to fall into its place, which has now become an idol for many other artists in our city. What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?) The Blue Horizon basically is an Alternative Rock band; we focus on melody based music that has a positive vibe in it, which is good enough to bring smiles to people’s faces and moments of joy in their lives. Thinking back to early childhood, What was your experience with music for the first time like? Music for us is like Food or air, it has been so since we have gained conscious. For each member the main focus is the music we build. It gives us a reason for our existence. Where did you meet your group first and how did you all come together.? We first met in April 2014 and it was a casual meeting. We all had a zeal for music and finally we collaborated in the month of May, we all picked up How long have you guys been performing? Its been approximately 3.5 years now. Finally any advice for upcoming artists? Work hard, trust each other and moreover trust in your music. God helps those, who help themselves. Keep Rocking Guys!!
