Orgacon ® EL-P1000
Screenprinting Ink Series (water-based)
Description
Orgacon® EL-P1000 is a low cost
and reasonable performance
transparent, screen printable
conductive ink, for based on waterbased
conductive polymers, known
as polyethylene dioxythiophene
(PEDOT).
This ink is specifically designed to
print transparent electrodes on all
kinds of pre-treated substrates
(corona-, plasma-treatment or
coating an acrylic adhesive layer),
such as PET, PC, PE-paper, many
flexible substrates and glass.
When using Orgacon® EL-P1000
as electrodes in EL lamp application,
one can achieve excellent product
characteristics such as flexibility,
and deformability.
Applications
• Electronic toys and games
• Paper-based printable electronics
• Antistatic protection
• Electrostatic discharge shielding
(ESD)
- Orgacon EL-P ink is ready to use. Do not stir to avoid air entrapment.
- Use monofilament polyester 34 T– 79T/cm. Stainless steel mesh is not recommended.
- Use water-resistant photoemulsion 20 – 40 µm and 70+ durometer polyurethane squeegee.
- Theoretical coverage: 140 to 330 cm 2 /g (70 to 30 µm wet thickness depending on screen
mesh).
- Open time on screen: >15 min. When screen appears to be clogged, print test images onto
light-coloured paper until printed image is restored.
- Cure in oven or belt dryer for 130°C/3-5min (for 79T mesh). Optimum cure schedule should
be determined for other screen meshes, different equipment or curing techniques.
- Using the highest possible temperatures and drying times ensures proper adhesion and good
electrical properties.
- Ink can be diluted up to 5% by weight with DI water, methanol, ethanol or IPA. Excessive
dilution can result in poor quality of printed layer.
- Clean up with water or IPA. Avoid returning the used ink back in container (risk of air
entrapment).
- Ghost images can be removed with high-water pressure and/or mild NaOCl (bleach) solution.
Please note that bleach solutions will damage some types of screen emulsions.
[5] Storage
Store the product between 5 °C- 25 °C, protect from freezing.
