2011 at 19h00, at the Ulysses Clubhouse, Old Town Koppie, Rosin

The Affair
A married man was having an affair with his secretary.
One day they went to her place and made love all afternoon.
Exhausted, they fell asleep and woke up at 8 PM.
The man hurriedly dressed and told his lover to take his shoes outside and rub them in the grass and
dirt.
He put on his shoes and drove home.
'Where have you been?' his wife demanded.
'I can't lie to you,' he replied,
'I'm having an affair with my secretary.
We had sex all afternoon.'
She looked down at his shoes and said:
'You lying bastard!
You've been playing golf!'

1. REDAKSIONEEL: Oktobermaand staan nou wel bekend as die mooiste maand, maar dis ook die maand van Ulysses Klerksdorp se
Algemene Jaarvergadering waartydens belangrike probleempunte aangespreek moet word. Jaargelde sal waarskynlik ietwat
opwaarts aangepas moet word en aansluitings-kriteria vir nuwe lede sal gewysig moet word. Wat laasgenoemde betref, is dit tans
te maklik om by Ulysses aan te sluit en dan nooit aan klub “runs” deel te neem nie. ‘n Proeftydperk van tussen drie en ses maande
sal dalk die aangewese ding wees.
Die gebruiklike oudit van die klub se finansiële status is op die oomblik aan die gang en lede sal voorsien word van jaarlikse state
deur middel van e-pos of tydens die vergadering op 27 Oktober.
2. YEAR END FUNCTION: This event takes place at The Lost Treasure function facility on Friday, 11 November and the format will
be a sit-down buffet supper with cash bar in a tastefully decorated hall. An entry list will be distributed at the AGM, with the final
cut off date for entries being 31 October.
3. ULYSSES JOL DAY: Our annual event has all the makings of yet another highly successful Ulysses project. Free advertisement has
been placed in S.A. Superbike Mag, kindly sponsored by Clinton Pienaar, while mention will also be made in Bike S.A.’s event page.
Posters and flyers are being distributed in the Potch and KOSH area while internet coverage can be found on the following
websites: www.ulyssessa.co.za, Facebook (nwbikerevents) and the NWBA’s latest info site: www.nwba.netai.net.
We are expecting well in excess of 500 people through the gate on the day and all preliminaries such as glasses, stickers, cloth
badges, printed wrist bands, lucky-draw numbers and cash prizes are already in place.
My sincere thanks to those members who have responded to my appeal for Jol Day presents, but I still have to see reaction from
others, especially the inactive ones!
4. TOY RUN LOTERY KAARTJIES: Daar is op die oomblik steeds 13 boekies met kaartjies uitstaande oftewel R2600.00 in kontant.
Teenblaaie, tesame met R200.00 per boek moet asseblief op 27 Oktober ingehandig word. Ongelukkig sal geen onverkoopte
kaartjies aanvaar word nie. Onthou, die wenner kry ‘n 600cc Suzuki vir slegs R10 en die opbrengs word vir liefdadigheid
aangewend.
5. OKTOBER RUN: As gevolg van die Rhino Rally wat met vandeesmaand se rundatum bots, het die organiseerders, Des F., Ivan en
Steve gevra dat dit tot 6 November uitgestel word. Onbevestigde gerugte is dat die bestemming dalk Buisfontein, in die Wollies
distrik kan wees.
