2011 UNCW baseball records book Welcome To Seahawk Baseball Welcome to Seahawk Baseball. This records book was published to help any and all in the coverage of the program. This supplement in addition to the online virtual guide and game notes are all availabe on UNCWsports.com, the official website for the UNCW Athletics Department. All questions and concerns with Seahawk baseball information should be director to Assistant Sports Information Director Tom Riordan (riordant@uncw.edu / 910.962.4099). This records book is a work in progress and we welcome any additional information that will help us in our goal to produce the most accurate records possible. A final box score and play-by-play will be available following each game. Phone lines and a fax machine are provided for use by the media. Credentials Requests for media credentials must be made as early as possible by contacting UNCW’s Sports Information Office. Credentials are issued to accredited members of the working media only, and all requests will be evaluated and prioritized. Credentials will be left at the ticket booth at the entrance to Brooks Field. Press Box Seating in the press box is limited and will be issued on a firstcome, first-served basis. Internet Access The press box has both wireless and ethernet connections. Post-Game Interviews Both coaches and selected players are available upon request following each game. Interviews will take place on the field next to the respective dugouts. The NCAA’s 15-minute “cooling off” period will be enforced. General Interviews Day-to-day interviews with the coaching staff and players are encouraged. Please contact Tom Riordan at (910) 962-4099 to arrange an interview. Telephone Interviews In the event you are unable to talk in person to an athlete or coach, we will attempt to arrange a telephone interview at a time convenient to both parties. Please allow ample time to set up a mutually agreeable date and location for those involved. Game Day Interviews No interviews will be given prior to the game, with the exception of pre-game radio shows. Visiting Radio Opposing teams wishing to originate radio broadcasts from Brooks Field should contact Tom Riordan at (910) 962-4099 to secure phone lines. Visiting radio will broadcast from within the press box or on a landing in front of the press box, weather permitting. Internet Coverage All of the latest information on the Seahawk baseball team, as well as UNCW’s other intercollegiate teams, may be found on the department’s internet web site at UNCWsports.com.
