All measurements include seam allowances,
Cut the following pieces:
Outer border: If using the moda kit, Stock # 6064-17
Cut 2 pieces 6 1/2 " X 62 1/2 "
Cut 2 pieces 6 1/2 " X 68 1/2 "
Border Squares and Corner Squares:
4 pieces of sage green print 4 1/2 " X 4 1/2 " (Stock #6064-17)
4 pieces of sage green print 2 1/2 " X 4 1/2 " (Stock #6064-17)
4 pieces of sage green print 2 1/2 " X 6 1/2 " (Stock #6064-17)
4 pieces of red solid 4 1/2 " X 4 1/2 " (Stock # 6069-16)
4 pieces of dark green solid 4 1/2 " X 4 1/2 " (Stock # 6069-14)

Log Cabin Blocks:
A 16 each of 10" x 11 1/2 " panels (Stock # 6060-12)
*** make sure they are centered exactly
B 32 pieces 1 1/2 " x 11 1/2 " of lighter colors
C 32 pieces 1 1/2 " x 12" of lighter colors
(these are the first logs around center)
D 32 pieces 1 1/2 " x 13 1/2 " of med. colors
E 32 pieces 1 1/2 " x 14" of med. colors
(these are the second logs around center)
F 32 pieces 1 1/2 " x 15 1/2 " of darker colors
G 32 pieces 1 1/2 " x 16" of darker colors
(these are the third logs around center)
H 96 pieces 2 1/2 " x 2 1/2 " of solid red (corner points) - Cut 6 crosswise strips.
Recut into 2 1/2 ” squares.
H 96 pieces 2 1/2 " x 2 1/2 " of solid dark green (corner points) - Cut 6 crosswise
strips. Recut into 2 1/2 ” squares.

Sew using 1/4 seam allowances throughout.
You will make 16 blocks. 8 will have red corner squares and 8 will have green corner squares.
Center blocks: Sew 2 sides B to center A . Sew 2 sides C to center A.
Sew corner square H on each corner with a diagonal line with right sides together (see diagram #1)
Trim corners off to 1/4” seam allowance. Flip back and press.
Repeat this process with sides D and E. (see diagram #2)
Sew 4 more corner squares H on to block.Trim corners off to 1/4” seam allowance. Flip back and press.
Repeat again with strips F and G. (see diagram #3)
Sew 4 more corner squares H on.Trim corners off to 1/4” seam allowance. Flip back and press.
Sew blocks together in 4 rows of 4, alternating the red cornered blocks with the
dark green cornered blocks. Lay the blocks out before you start to sew, to be sure they are in a pleasing
order. Refer to cover picture for color reference.

Corner Border Blocks:
You will make 4 of these blocks. One for each of the 4 corners of the quilt. They are hard to see because the
blocks are made using the same fabrics as the border.
Sew with right sides together one 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” sage green and one 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” red square diagonally
through the middle. Flip solid fabric back and press.
Sew on a 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" piece and a 2-1/2" x 6-1/2" piece of the sage print next to the solid triangle as shown
in Diagram 4.
Then add another solid square and sew on diagonally. Flip and press. Repeat this process three more times.
You will need two with green triangles and two with red triangles. Refer to color picture
of quilt on front of pattern for placement.
Borders:
Sew the 2 pieces 6-1/2" x 62-1/2"across the top and bottom of the quilt top.
Sew corner blocks onto the ends of the 2 - 68 1/2” borders and attach to remaining
sides of the quilt. Press and quilt as desired.
