Safe drug preparation in the pharmacy with Cyto-Set® Mix
Start by filling Cyto-Set® Mix with carrier solution and then
priming it through Prime Stop before you inject the cytostatic
drug. This method effectively eliminates the risk of cytostatic
contamination at the connection site.
The Safsite® connectors prevent leaks and needlesticks.
The only thing allowed is the needle-free injection of the
cytostatic drug into the line. Just one more added safety
feature to protect pharmacy staff.

Cyto-Set® Mix for centralized admixing and Cyto-Set® Infusion/
Infusomat® Space for stationary preparation and application
always form a closed system.
All connections remain free of cytostatic agents and can only
be wetted with the carrier or flushing solution.

Safe drug application on the ward
On the ward, prepare the Cyto-Set® Infusion/Infusomat® Space
separately from the cytostatic. Fill the system completely with
flushing solution (e.g. Sodium Chloride) and vent through Prime
Stop. During priming, the Cyto-Set® Infusion/Infusomat® Space
is only filled with flushing solution, ensuring safe priming.
The Cyto-Set® Mix prepared in the pharmacy is now connected
to Safsite® valves: A tactile click lets you know that the sets are
securely connected. This method allows you to connect up to
four Cyto-Set® Mix infusions to the system, ensuring always
safe drug application.
Flush the IV Set with flushing solution to prevent interactions
between different cytostatics.
Avoid contamination with cytostatic agents by flushing the
tubing after the final infusion. The entire IV Set is disposed
of as a closed system, ensuring safe disposal.
