WHAT IS THE REAL UVT ONLINE?<br />

The Real UVT Online <strong>monitor</strong> provides continuous <strong>real</strong> time UV254 testing. The Real<br />

UVT Online is designed with patent pending Ortho-Beam <strong>technology</strong> to provide many<br />

significant advantages while maintaining affordability.<br />

The innovative Ortho-Beam <strong>technology</strong> allows for continuous<br />

automatic calibration during operation, <strong>the</strong>reby enabling <strong>the</strong><br />

Real UVT Online to overcome <strong>the</strong> many challenges faced by<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r similar instrumentation.<br />

The Real UVT Online’s unique ability to automatically detect<br />

and compensate for UV lamp fluctuations and quartz fouling<br />

prevents a loss in accuracy over time and significantly<br />

reduces maintenance.<br />

MEASURING ORGANICS<br />

UV254 provides an indication of <strong>the</strong> amount of natural<br />

organic matter (NOM) in water and wastewater. More specifically,<br />

UV254 is <strong>the</strong> best detector of aromatic organics or reactive NOM.<br />

Aromatic organics are problematic, having several negative effects.<br />

For example, when combined with chlorine, aromatic organics readily<br />

form disinfection by-products (DBPs).<br />

The Real UVT Online <strong>monitor</strong> is <strong>the</strong> ideal solution for <strong>monitor</strong>ing<br />

UV254 instantaneously in <strong>real</strong> time. The Real UVT Online <strong>monitor</strong><br />

can also be used as a practical alternative or supplement to measuring<br />
