EWRA's board of directories issued a resolution on 25/11/2008 to the service<br />
providers obligating them to have the central laboratories accredited from <strong>The</strong><br />
Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) & complying with the (ISO17025)<br />
st<strong>and</strong>ards.

<strong>Water</strong> balance <strong>and</strong> Non revenue<br />
water<br />
• EWRA's board of directories issued a resolution on 6/4/2009 to<br />
Subsidiary Companies concerning the implementation of a water<br />
balance action plan. <strong>The</strong> action plan consists of three phase:<br />
– Phase (1): Installation of production meters <strong>and</strong> replacement of<br />
non-working consumer meters<br />
– Phase (2) Installation of District Meter Areas (DMA)<br />
– Phase (3) Installation of raw water meters:

Sector Accomplishments<br />
•Sector Policy document was issued on September 2010<br />
•Draft water law prepared <strong>and</strong> ready<br />
•Work in progress on the Sector strategy document,<br />
expected to be finalized by the end of 2012
