“<strong>Water</strong> for Life: <strong>Community</strong> <strong>water</strong> <strong>security</strong>” was created by the<br />
Hesperian Foundation for the <strong>UN</strong>DP, in cooperation with the<br />
<strong>Community</strong> <strong>Water</strong> Initiative partners. An accompanying booklet on<br />
sanitation, “Sanitation and Cleanliness for a Healthy Environment,”<br />
was also produced for the <strong>UN</strong>DP. These booklets are part of a<br />
forthcoming book by the Hesperian Foundation, A <strong>Community</strong> Guide to<br />
Environmental Health.<br />
The <strong>Community</strong> Guide will cover related issues such as waste<strong>water</strong><br />
management and trash disposal, along with other environmental health<br />
topics such as mining and oil drilling, industrial pollution, and forestry.<br />
We hope the entire book will be ready in English in 2006, and in<br />
Spanish the following year.<br />
