Coming together as a community.<br />

In fiscal year <strong>2009</strong>-<strong>2010</strong>, community members came<br />

together to volunteer for a total of 30,628 hours at<br />

<strong>Second</strong> <strong>Helpings</strong>. The following volunteers belong<br />

Awards and recognition.<br />

Thanks to the outstanding work of our volunteers,<br />

<strong>Second</strong> <strong>Helpings</strong> won the Jefferson Award for<br />

Nonprofit Volunteer Program of the Year in <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

The award is presented annually to an agency that<br />

effectively uses volunteers to further their mission<br />

and help the community.<br />

<strong>Second</strong> <strong>Helpings</strong> volunteer Hal Cole was presented<br />

with the Mayor’s Community Service Award in <strong>2010</strong><br />

— an award that recognizes Indianapolis citizens<br />

who make notable contributions and commitments<br />

to community service. Hal’s work has made a major<br />

impact — not only at <strong>Second</strong> <strong>Helpings</strong>, but also in<br />

the Indianapolis community at large.<br />
