that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life." In the
matter of salvation, no amount of weeping
or sorrow will coax God into doing something
that He has not already done.
Remember when Jesus was on the cross, He
cried, "It is finished!" (John 19:30), which
means that the price for our salvation was
paid in full. Nothing can be added to it and
nothing can be taken from it. We don't need
to weep, beg, or plead for God to do
something He has already done. What we do
is accept Him, trust Him.
