SENSITIVITY & CONTRAST<br />

STORAGE CAUTIONS<br />

Make sure to keep unrecorded film in its moisture _ proof bag, stored in a cool, dark place(25°C/77°F or<br />

below).<br />

Observe the following points in handling and storing recorded film.<br />

Store recorded film in a cool, dry place of low temperature and low humidity. The higher the temperature<br />

and humidity, the more the density of recorded images will increase. Long _ term storage at high<br />

temperatures, high humidity and/ or daylight room conditions may cause discoloration.<br />

Results of accelerated testing indicate the following life spans for recorded film, in terms of how long it<br />

takes for a 10% rise in density to occur in the places in which image density is 1.2 at time of output.<br />

When stored at 25°C, 60%RH, approx. 30 years.<br />

When stored at 30°C, 60%RH, approx. 5 years.<br />

If storage temperature exceeds these levels, lifespan will be as follows.<br />

When stored at 35°C, 60%RH, approx. 6 months.<br />

When stored at 40°C, 60%RH, approx. 1 week.<br />

Thus, make sure not to leave recorded film in places exposed to direct sunlight, next to heating equipment,<br />

or inside automobiles.<br />

Under the following environmental conditions, the lifespan will be approx. 5 years.<br />

Whithin a one _ year period:<br />

• When stored 4 months at 35°C, 60%RH for 8 hours a day and 28°C, 60%RH for 16 hours a day.<br />

• When stored 8 months at 28°C, 60%RH, 24 hours a day.<br />
